* In Amaratasia, Aura Titans / Auratic Species are unique individuals of an animal species blessed with extraordinary abilities and physique on birth that differ vastly from the norm, most commonly boosted intelligence and enhanced elemental capabilities (or newfound ones if the species didn't have any by default). They're most easily distinguished by almost pitch-black skin with highlights that glow with a certain color in moments of high activity. Not every species has an Auratic individual and it happens seemingly by chance. They are notably less common the stronger or more intelligent the base species is.

Brief biography:

From birth, Rikala’s power was already clear. The moment he came out of his egg, his body was burning hot and his auratic highlights were already flaring red. His power was only confirmed as he grew older, becoming much larger than his few siblings and already reaching the power of some of the most experienced Noctritids as a mere juvenile. 

While extremely destructive, it was noted by his mother and closer siblings that he always had an eye for justice. Even as an immature youngster unable to speak, he would often force away his rowdier siblings from overwhelming the more reclusive ones. Growing up, his presence alone broke conflict out of fear of what he may have done to those who he caught guilty. 

This sense of justice only grew stronger as he aged, as did his power. Though he eventually outlived the rest of his family due to his status as an Aura Titan, that didn’t stop his old habits and he began fighting on a much larger scale, brashly taking every chance he got to assault anything dangerous to the world’s natural balance, or at least anything that he deemed to be.

Today he uses his talent for destruction as a weapon of justice, or at least as much of one as he can. While his talent for annihlation and demonic appearance make it easy for others to assume he is a force of evil, he means well at the end of the day, most noticable in his behavior towards those who manage to get on his good side, being surprisingly jolly and almost casual in demeanor.

Abilities:

Rikala is most known for his mastery over fire, earth, and electricity powers, able to use all three to powerful degrees, but is also well-renowned for his ability to catch fire and electricity attacks in his wings, hands, and mouth, to bounce them back with amplified power. However, it should be noted that he is not immune to the initial impact of things like explosions and fireballs and can only reflect attacks that he can catch without losing footing or focus.

Rikala is also able to speak via telepathy as his own vocal chords as a Noctritid don't allow him to speak normally. However, while the range at which he can speek is surprisingly broad, the connection itself is particularly weak and can be severed by even those with minimal or no mental training.

Physical Appearance Description:

Rikala is a large, physically bulky dragon with skin that's an obsidian-black hide. His long neck sprouts a cobra-like hood starting from the end of his snout to his shoulders, blending into his wings. The underside glows bright neon red, as do the rest of his highlights. His head is rather rectangular rather than narrow and sleek, save for the hood arching over it. Several glowing red dots scatter the side of his face, making it difficult to distinguish where exactly his real eyes are. Three relatively thin horns on each side of his head extend past his hood, each one progressively smaller from top to bottom.

Rikala's wings are cloak like, held over his body at all times. The topside is leathery and the same color as the rest of his body, forming the shape of an enormous cresent when fully flared out. The underside glows bright red as with the rest of his highlights, though with red lightning-esque patterns across them. They blend into a small fan-like pair of sails above his thighs before fading into the relatively featureless tail. His whole body has a series of slash-like stripes from his neck to his tail, all of which glow his signature neon red as well.
