Around the interwebz I'm known as Nikhera, or Nika (Nika-chan) for short.
I've been into the "I doodle for fun thing" into a couple years now, since May 2003.
It all started with role-playing and the frustration of being reduced to using doll bases for character portraits. This is why I started drawing, until one day I realized I liked creating stuff simply for pleasure.
My style is inspired by anime and other artists around me. Sometimes I regret not starting with realism, because that's a skill I seem to be lacking now.
Nowadays I draw a lot less than I used to, because my boyfriend, academics and work take up whatever time I have spare - not that I'm complaining - definitely not about the boyfriend part. :3
We've been together for over two years and he continues to be a big inspiration to me in everything I do. I dedicate most of my stuff to him and he drives me to get better not only at art but life in general.
For now art is a nice hobby to me and something fun to do. I haven't really considered doing it seriously - maybe when I get old and rich I'll go to art school and in the meantime do comishes to earn extra money. (Perhaps when I get my tablet fixed - and when I get a little better lol @_@)
Besides art I like cats, (lots, I'm told I'm very catlike) anime, gaming, a little bit of swimming, reading, writing, and walks in forests. My favourite hobby above all those though, is spending time with my boyfriend. Nothing compares n_n
