Boss Event - Prompt 2. - "OI!": "Oi"

Dalv's eyes widened in sheer terror as the colossal golem came crashing down, sending a bone-laden tsunami cascading across the chamber floor with a resounding splash. Panic coursed through him, his instinctual fight-or-flight response propelling him into a desperate scramble for safety. Yet, his escape was abruptly halted as the surging wave of skeletal remains ensnared him, violently dislodging his arm upon impact with the unforgiving ground.

 

Desperation gripped Dalv as he slid helplessly across the gleaming crystal surface, ultimately coming to an abrupt halt beside one of the towering crystalline pillars. His heart raced, and dread clenched at his chest as he found himself in the unrelenting gaze of a crystal wyvern. Its prismatic eyes bore into him, harboring a venomous malice that seemed capable of corrupting an entire town with a single drop.

 

The wyvern reared its serpentine neck, its crystalline jaws yawning wide in anticipation of a deadly strike.

 

"OI!" A commanding, disembodied voice rang out, shattering the tense silence that had enveloped the chamber. Hovering in the air, Lossar, the deer skull familiar, maintained a conspicuous presence, floating a short distance to the left of Dalv. "WELL, AIN'T YOU A MOST DAZZLING SPECIMEN, AREN'T YA?" The cockney-inflected voice echoed throughout the chamber, instantly diverting the wyvern's attention from its intended prey to the peculiar apparition.

 

Dalv recognized that this unexpected reprieve was his only chance to regroup and formulate a plan. Time was of the essence, and he knew he had to act swiftly before the wyvern refocused its deadly intentions on him.

 

Without squandering a moment, Dalv recognized that Lossar had provided him a precious opportunity to regroup. As he took advantage of this crucial breather, he swiftly contemplated his next move, acutely aware that time was of the essence.
