Alzoru's First Combat!: The fight

Having arrived at the guild, Alzoru checked the counter for a suitable job. Being cautious yet also somewhat impulsive was a strange combination. Shi was cautious enough not try and tackle anything shi knew she wasn’t prepared for, but impulsive enough to pull the first paper from the rookie pile. A Slime was hir target today. A mere, pitiful slime. Shi scoffed and Poured water into a glass to drink before shi took a deep breath and started making hir way there.

 

The path there was forested, nothing shi wasn’t used to. Hopping over logs and weaving through trees wasn’t the most glorious way to travel, but shi lived on a jungle island, and so shi was used to moving in such places. Shi yelled like Tarzan as shi swung on a vine and travelled through the trees with decent swiftness. Soon, Shi was upon hir target. A slime about one cubic yard large or .93 cubic meters. It jumped at hir and tried to suffocate hir by clinging to hir face. Shi screamed and opened hir mouth, and blasted a torrent of ice from it, causing the slime to fall off.

 

The slime fell, small bits of it falling away, frozen. The slime began to flee, seeing that Alzoru was going to be victorious Alzoru ran after the slime, blasting small bolts of ice at the fleeing slime as it ran. Each strike diminished the slime until it was defeated. Alzoru sighed and smiled… until a bigger slime, 3 cubic meters/yards appeared. Alzoru gulped. “You aren’t mad about me defeating the other slime, are you?”

The Slime responded by grabbing two black and rectangular pieces of paper, sticking the paper to itself to be a set of angry eyebrows. Alzoru laughed nervously and gulped, grabbing a boombox and playing the best royalty-free chase music shi could find as shi ran from this much stronger slime. Alzoru ducked behind a tree and pulled a branch back, priming it to slap the heck out of the big, bouncing slime. Unfortunately, hir timing was off, and shi missed. The slime jumped at hir and changed its shape into that of a fist, shrinking itself to increase its density and “punched” Alzoru in the stomach.

 

Alzoru coughed and reeled, then blasted the slime with ice magic, slowing it down. Shi then grabbed a stick, and sharpened into a makeshift spear, which shi stabbed into the slime… only for it to be dissolved. Alzoru then threw rocks at the creature… and they became suspended in the lime-colored creature, which was still jumping after hir.

 

Alzoru ran and kept trying to blast the creature with ice and snow, slowing it down and freezing some of it off. Shi was getting tired, however, and climbed up a tree where shi tried to rest. When the slime started slithering up the tree, Alzoru groaned and shouted, “Oh come on!” And swung away on a vine, landing in a small lake. The slime then left, and Alzoru rested at the bottom of the lake for a while before returning to the guild. Quest Complete. They don’t need to know about the bigger slime.
