Chapter 1: Short Story
People are always telling me that jobs aren't suposed to be loved and liked, and that they are for putting food on the table and a roof over your head. In a way this is true, but only in a small way. I dream bigger I guess. I see finding a job like finding what you love to do best. I want to get payed for what I love to do, and do it good. And no matter how many people try to tell me otherwise, I am determined to do so. God gave each of us gifts of some talent, and he wants us to use them in a way that will help others, and also help others towards Christ. This is why I write. This is why I draw. Perfecting the talents God has given me. I am not the best in either, but I strive to be better, and to do so in Christ. No matter what you do, it must be done for God and in God's name. I will fall in love with Christ as the center of the relationship. I will marry likewise. I will live for God in every way, even in my job. I will live my life with the intensions of helping myself and others grow closer to our Creator. This is my task, as it is for all. Your talents may be different or alike to mine, but no matter what they are they should be used in and for our Father in Heaven. I have dreams, and I will not let them die. Whatever God's will for me is, I will follow with my head held high. And whatever calling God has for me, I will persue it too with a willing heart and mind. Listen with an open heart and you will hear God's whispers, if you truely listen. God has blessed me everyday with great things, even in times of sorrow. It's my turn to pay him back in faith, hope, and love; and the greatest of these is love.
