My Shadow

 

My shadow is my happiness

My shadow is my pain

My shadow is my misery

Come knocking, knocking, screaming, mocking

Mocking once again.

My shadow is my ignorance

My shadow is my pride

My shadow is my glory

Come walking, walking, running, stalking

Stalking as my bride.

My shadow is my halcyon

My shadow is my bliss

My shadow is my ecstasy

Come falling, falling, creeping, crawling

Crawling into Hell’s deep kiss.

My shadow is my life

My shadow is my death

My shadow is my balance

Come swaying, swaying, feeling, weighing

Weighing my last breath.

My shadow is my everything

My shadow is for naught

My shadow is my nothing

Come reaching, reaching, grabbing, screeching

Screeching in my thoughts.
