More Every Day: Chapter 1

I wanted it to last,
Didn't wanna be a part of your past.
You were the single voice above the noise,
The one who showed me how to raise my voice.
The laughs, the smiles,
Made it all worthwhile.
But time had to pass by so fast,
Like books turning into dust.
And some days I feel so empty
As I imagine all that we could be.
So many people around me,
Still it's only you I wanna see.
But we're miles away,
And I miss you more every day.
