It was inevitable
from the very beginning
My heart was meant to be broken
I knew
The doctor said only two months
To live
So why am I surprised
He was right all along
But I want you back
I need you back
I love you

It was senior year when i first met you
You just moved to town
You were new to the school
You were loved by all the girls
All the guys idolized you
But I was the only one that knew

We hung out everyday after school
And went on many dates
You told me not to get attached
But I would not listen to you
So its not surprise at all
That I fell in love with you
And your wonderful kisses

Why does it have to hurt so bad,
To remember those bitter-sweet memories
I do not want to it hurt
so I will always relive the memories

but I never realized how fast those two months could go
Until it started getting worse
and I did not want it to end

I stood by your bed
Said I love you
When I held your hand
I finally knew
Starting to cry
I set my head on your chest
Closing my eyes
I knew your were at rest
