A petty little hug

With a loving stare

Your confusing signals use me

And my paper heart starts to tear

 

A silent plea in my eyes

As you tell me you love me

My paper heart dies

When you say, "We can't be,"

 

A crack in the ground

In which I wish to hide

I can't utter a sound

Now that my paper heart has died
