Chapter 1: Another One Down

"God this guy stinks." Silas groans, perching in a tree nearby this beast. "The hell's it made of?" Jumping down from his tree he can feel warm water seep into his dark laced boots. "This is one of the worst jobs I've ever had to deal with." Silas seemed unamused by all that was happening here. The atmosphere around him made his layered clothing stick to his skin uncomfortably. Moving forward to approach the beast he can't help but sigh at where this had led him.

Unsheathing his katana the approach is a fast one. Swift as the wind and as strong as his steel, in the blink of an eye Silas's blade slices through the leg of this garbage beast. Pulling his blade away he finds it covered in weird juices and the stench is sense-altering.
"Christ." Covering his nose with his elbow he wipes the blade on the moss of a tree. Even with his mask on the smell of the monster was seeping into his nostrils. "Dude, if you've permanently stinkified my katana, we're gonna have issues!" He yells upwards. Silas's glowing red eyes glance to his blade now, its glow nonexistent.

"Hey, time to wake up." Tapping his blade against the tree he waits impatiently for his blade to get the memo. "Let's go, don't got all day." Thrusting the blade now into the damp bark of the tree it finally glows to life. The monster seems to wobble now, noticing that the first slice has moderately damaged his leg. "One more oughta do the trick." Lowering down on his back leg, it looks as if the demon boy was charging up an attack. With eyes trained on that same leg, he launches his body this time. Moving faster than before and undetected this time, he appears on the other side. Sheathing his blade behind his back as if he was finishing off his work. The monster's leg falls over, and so does the beast. Silas takes his leave for now since his contract only called for severe injury this time. Not death.
