Saiana's Story: River's Awakening

Saiana stroled through the forest, the hazy sunlight making her long blue hair glimmer like a lake in the summer. The sounds of flora and fauna whispered to her in the wind. It was a warm and humid, but Saiana didn't mind. She enjoyed anything wet. Humming to the drinking song she'd gotten stuck in her head from passing some travelers, continued strolling along.

That is, until she stepped in a goey pile of moss. 

"Ew!" she exclaimed, attempting the scrape the slimy plant off her shoes, when suddenly, the mushy substance glared up at her. 

It wasn't moss at all. 

It was a slime!

The little critter warbled angrily and shot two jets of slime at Saiana. Barely dodgeing them, Saiana grabbed her boot and yaked it off, throwing it across the clearing and taking the slime with it. 

The slime let out a strange watery scream, then there was a sickenning squish sound. The slime emerged from under the boot, its green slooshy body tinted red with rage. 

"Uh... hi?" Saiana waved timidly. 

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWR

The slime leaped at Saiana, fury blazing in its eyes. she rolled away, just barely escaping. The slime rose. It began absorbing water from the dew laden grass and growing. Saiana started to sweat. 

"Ooooooooh dear. Thats not good." 

The slime pounced again, This time, it was too fast for Saiana, and it collided with her. Or at least, it would have. At the last second, Saiana streatched out her arms, and all the sweat on her body rolled to her fingertips, freezing in front of her to form a sheild. The Slime bounced off it. 

it began to absorb more water, preping for another attack, when suddenly it wobbled and became unstable. 

"its too liquidy to stand." Saiana realized. This gave her an idea. She turned and ran through the woods. 

The slime rumbled after her, burbling in rage. it absorbed more and more water, growing bigger and more unstable. it sounded like it was getting distressed. 

finally, they came to a small creek. Saiana smiled. She raised her arms and called the water to he fingers. 

it ignored her. 

The slime was getting closer. 

She tried again, more frantically. 

nothing happened. 

The slime was inches from her. 

In one last desperate attempt, she poured all of her energy into calling the water. Finally, the water answered, and she slung all of the water in the entire creek at the slime. It was pushed backward by the pressure of the blast. The slime began to absorb the stream, and it grew, and grew and grew, until suddenly...

POP!

The slime burst into a harmless, green, goey puddle.

Saiana sighed in releif and continued walking.

from now on, she would be careful not to step on anything!
