Chapter 1: Pyro and the Queen

Flowers were crushed carelessly under Pyro’s hooves as she stomped her way across the field. Mon of all kinds were cheerfully playing and relaxing, but all scattered at the incoming furious Tepig. They took one look at her face and yelped, skittering away from the fire trailing from her feet and nose.

She didn’t care about this damn mansy pansy bullshit. She didn’t care about the serenity, or the calm energy that seemed to sweep across the dungeon, or the cool breeze that brushed her ears. It was all weak stuff; she didn’t have time to be taking a walk in the park. She was supposed to be FIGHTING and getting STRONGER. She’s not gonna be able to do that when pokemon were frolicking and holding hands and dancing in a circle.

The Tepig growled before letting out an angry roar, fire spitting from her mouth. Fire erupted from where she stood, turning flowers and grass to ash around her.

“Stupid, stupid!” she snarled, pacing in a tight circle. “First the fucking toyland, now a field? Can she send me to any weaker places? What the fuck does she expect me to do here?”

“HEY!”

Pyro ignored the shrill voice screaming at her, lost in her own anger. Something buzzed by her ears angrily.

“HEY! TEPIG! You’re destroying our flowers!” a Combee buzzed, three faces equally pissed. “This is our pollen source, it’s gonna take forever to grow back!”

Pyro snapped towards the bug type, forcing it to back up from the embers spitting from her nose. “Do you think I give a shit? I don’t care about this damn place, go pick some flowers somewhere else!”

The Combee, furious, sped off. A win for Pyro. She turned to stomp off again, waiting for an appropriate time to come back to base without being too suspicious. Before she could go burn down a tree to make herself feel better, the distant buzzing suddenly grew much, much stronger. She turned to look at where the Combee went before her eyes widened.

The Combee was speeding back, following a huge Vespiquen. A couple of other worker Combee’s were following her as well.

“…Shit,” Pyro mumbled, turning and taking a defensive fighting stance. She grinned sharply. “This is what I wanted, though!”

The Vespiquen slowed to a stop in front of her, hovering above the ground regally. Three Combees flocked around her, one of them being the one Pyro yelled at only moments ago.

“Her, My Queen!” it barked, narrowing its eyes at Pyro. “She ruined all the flowers around, and she won’t apologize or fix it!”

Vespiquen glared down at her. “Do you have anything to say for yourself, Tepig?”

Pyro dug a hoof into the ground, digging the ashy remains of the flowers into the dirt. The Combee gasped, outraged. “Nah, I ain’t sorry. There are plenty of flowers ‘round here, you ain’t gonna miss a couple just cause I burned em up. Get over it.” She matched the first Combee’s glare with her own. “Can’t fight me by yourself, snitch? Gotta run back to your mommy?”

Vespiquen’s wind beats got louder and more aggressive as she rose higher into the air. “How dare you speak to my Combee like that?! The disrespect is disgusting, you pig!”

“How original,” Pyro muttered, before dodging an attack from the Vespiquen. The Combee also sped forward, stingers aimed towards her.

Pyro took in a deep breath before letting out a loud snort, full fledged flames erupting from her nose. The two Combee yelped sharply, hitting the ground almost instantly. “Wow, y’all are weaker than I thought. A simple little ember takes you down so easily?”

Vespiquen screamed, diving down towards the Tepig, who stood her ground, taking the hit. Pyro shrugged it off easily, laughing in the Vespiquen’s face. “You sure you a queen? Cause this is some peasant power.”

“Leave this dungeon, pig!” Vespiquen snarled, and Pyro heard the distant buzzing of more Combee’s. Before she could blink, Combee surrounded her. “I don’t ever want to see you in here again!”

“Wha- HEY!” Pyro barked as the Combee flooded her vision and her hooves left the ground. The Combee workers began carrying her towards the entrance again, not giving Pyro a chance to even wiggle. “LET ME GO! COWARD, CAN’T EVEN TAKE ME IN A FIGHT! YOU CAN’T EVEN LOSE GRACEFULLY!”

The Vespiquen said nothing as Pyro watched her get smaller and smaller, the snitch Combee giggling and sticking it’s tongues out as she was carried away. Fury filled Pyro’s chest and she couldn’t help but roar, completely pissed off as the Combee unceremoniously dumped her at the train tracks, straight on her head.

What a fucking waste of time.
