ok, just to clear the majority of questions.. yes, there's a monkey on the guy's head..the monkey has seen the dragons behind the others, and the guy is asleep.lol. these are just some random characters i chose to put together.. the middle girl's name is Ryoni, the elf is just a put together character,and the guy's name is Defess. oh and also, they don't know they're in a dragon den,lol. well this picture took me..off and on about...maybe 5 hours ?? not sure though,lol... well any whoo's i'm pretty happy with how this one came out..i know it can use improvement, so some pointers are welcome :D

    I love the shading on this, it's very cool! The texture gives it a good, oldy feel. My one suggestion would be to make the background darker to give the den more depth. And you'd also be able to see the dragon's heads better. It looks a little fuzzy around that area, and making the background darker might define it more.

    But other than that, great job! I love the expressions and their cluelessness as to their location. ^^

      hummm... :pondres: yesh, that would make it look better... lol, butthe dragons are supposed to blend in with the background a little so that the lantern could pick up on them a little, especially the little one to the right. ^_^ i'll give the darkening this a shot on my comp though, maybe it would look better... Smile thank you very much for the pinter and comments Grin

        The rocks are quite good- it lacks texture, which is the only real problem. I've done a little caving in my time, and the formations are similar to that, but cave formations are very unique. To learn how to draw a cave formation and normal rock is two different storys. My thoughts is to surf the net and copy from a photo- cave fock sediments drop lime down from the roof to the floor hardening into stakes of rocks over hunderds of years. Usually there would be rocks 'dropping' from the top to the bottom, sometimes connecting in between. The texture would be smooth in this case. If this is a 'man' made cave, the edges would jag off in random angles.

        My last point is the light- There's a pretty strong light source there- the trolls would light up more, and silhoette the guy at the front with his bck to us. The thing with light is the ambience. Ohhh- and they'd all cast coolies shadows away from the light!! Moooooody :3 Hope that helps

          okay, that sound like a good plan... haha, did you call the dragons trolls? hehe. yeah, it wasn't untill after i scanned it i realised how bright i made the light, ha. okies tho, i'll give it a shot, Upsidedown thankies for the help.

            Trolls, only cause unless they aren't traditional dragon sized, they're a little small- unless they are baby dragons. It seems more of a troll thing to do- Dragons are reguarded as noble creatures in any myth- some going astray. Most of the time those are the european dragons- the asian ones tend to be on level with GODS seemingly ^^;
