Paiko's Talisman

Paiko's talisman. A three-part set of objects with different functions, strung together on one belt for ease of transport. Perhaps only one might suffice to act as a talisman, but his slightly possessive drakon-nature prevents him from choosing a favorite. Hence the fact that he considers all the objects merely as necessary parts of one talisman.

• The fabric: woven through with fibers of space-time, and more durable than the skin of our tearable reality. Acts as a stabilizing, soothing object... in the event Paiko's old, raw instincts flare up again. (Call it a security blankie. But never to his face.)
• The jump crystal: iridescent, color-changing, smooth as glass, hard as diamond. A gift from an unknown friend. Swapping out the middle piece ("Travel Token") can facilitate travel to different worlds.
• The starcatcher: a trinket with wires, to which Paiko can attach little "Travel Tokens". His latent Earth ability allows him to turn the minerals from a particular world into a unique, colorful gem. These serve as his Portal Badges.

He'll wear his belt to do most adventuring activities, but when he's leisurely hanging around (and totally-not-eavesdropping-on-people *cough*), there's a good chance you can spot him without it too.

Just don't play any surprise pranks on him when he's not wearing it - neither he nor I are responsible for the somewhat, uh... feral reflex actions that may result.
