Penny on the Way to Soujel Aircity

When Penny first became an adventurer she was told that Avangard would be the best place to start, so she did not go there. Surely every new adventurer went there and she had no desire to do what everyone else was doing. That was why she went to Aridin, Pavia, and Eir first. This was her adventure and she was going to do it her own way. But now enough time had passed and she felt ready to finally see the air city.

When she stepped through the portal she forgot to put any coin in her pockets, which was something she was reminded of when she thought of buying a ticket to Soujel Aircity. "Of course I would be an airhead when traveling to a city that floats in the air." She walked around the air ship she was on until she found a stream of small delivery boats. Curious as a cat Penny wandered over and brushed some metalic dust off of a plate.

The destination was all Penny needed to know. Taking caution to not be seen she hid near the bow of the ship and waited for takeoff. Later she learned that this was very illegal, but even if she had known that she would have still done it. A jolt and a humming noise signaled the departure of the ship and Penny carefully sat up to get a good view. The airship gracefully sailed over a sea of billowy clouds as irridescent paddle-like wings moved it along. For a good amount of time it was just Penny, the ship, and the clouds, but then a speck appeared on the horizion. It grew slowly. Figuring she was far enough from both ships to not be seen Penny stood up and grabbed a large cord hanging from the sails. She leaned over trying to get a good look when a distant puff of wind moved some hazy clouds out of the way and she saw it. Soujel Aircity.

"Land ho Captin," she giggled to herself. What adventure would she find in this new land?

Prompt #1 - Soujel Aircity

Avangard’s population lives solely in fleets of airships that sail the planet’s skies. The largest of these ships is the informal capital, Soujel. The ship is decked in ornate golds and reds, and is visible from an incredible distance thanks to the constant display of lights on its hull. These ships are designed to drift high above the clouds. The skies above the airship cities are always crystal clear. Draw or write your character arriving on an airship. The submission must include your character and a red and gold airship.
