Super-hero ruts are cool. 
I'm currently working on a comic, myself, with my favorite superhero - Super Nerd! 
Made him up myself and everything. Hopefully I'll have character drafts up soon, but so far, I'm still brainstorming.

Sounds like you'll have fun with that comic. I've only ever done one comic that I was happy with - a collaboration with my best friend. It was called "Nips and Snorts". Full of sick humour and innuendos... And then I lost the original.
