I usually draw on a separte sheet of paper first and then scan it into the computer then take it into the program. It's cleaner and easier to control. on a tablet sometimes it can come out shaky. As for tutorials on drawing on a tablet the best info I can give is that Most (I think all) tablets are presure sensitive. so the harder you push on the stylus the darker and thicker the line will be. That's the best I can do for tablet drawings I don't usually draw with the tablet most of the time I just color with it and put in backgrounds.
---edit: I forgot to add that if you hold the shift button down while you're drawing a line it will make a perfectly straight horizontal or vertical line.
