Here are some of the highlights from 2006 here at PaperDemon.com...

To the Writing section we implemented HTML and Word file uploads, cover artwork, and library selection UI revamp.

To the Art Gallery section we added PNG support, visual critiques to the art comments, comment controls, viewing controls, filters, oekaki, and gallery selection UI revamp.

The writing, art, and gallery systems have all undergone a complete rewrite and restructure of the code.

Perhaps the biggest addition to the site was the Comics section.

Premium features were also introduced (that are currently only available to Mods and Betas). Including profile skins, a personal chat box, a blog, personal art galleries, and other nifty stuff. An image folio feature was also added that all members are allowed to use. Premium accounts are still not for sale. I'm unsure when I will release these for sale if ever.

We also started keeping track of our members ages in order to keep under aged members out of the RC section and from posting to that section.

PD also got a slogan "Where Imagination is Free to Soar."

We upgraded from shared hosting to our very own dedicated server. For the second half of the year, you've also been able to enjoy the site advertisement free! We will go back to ads sometime next year.

It's been a crazy year. Tons of site upgrades and feature additions.  And sadly there was some bannage. But that never got us down. Even in the midst of a crazy lady lurking about or site o.O, we still managed to keep this site friendly and maintain a sense of a real community. Thank you every one for continuing to make PaperDemon.com the best community site out there.
