October 2020 Kickstarter Adoptable event, and new ARPG organization!
Good day!
Autumn has arrived to Sympan, and a few new Mime Dogs have arrived with it. That's right: a new adoptable event has arrived!
Two of our lovely designers, DashOfJupiter and Moichiigo, have graced us with five gorgeous little Dogs themed after the season's most popular holiday: good ol' Halloween.
The event consists of a DTA ( Draw To Adopt ) of three cuties, and a raffle of two sweet Dogs!
The event is open for anyone to enter, and you can find it here along with the spooky Mime Dogs looking for homes!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us in the ARPG's Discord server 's help channels.

In other news, you may have noticed the news post is no longer hosted by the MimeDogs-ARPG account. We've created a second admin account for the ARPG: Sympan-Archive.
The ARPG is currently being organized into both accounts for both the players and the admins' comfort, and we will be additionally implementing a Weebly site.
The MimeDogs-ARPG account will be the main ARPG account: where the events are hosted, where you go to upload your Activity Rolls, where you find all important links, etc.
The Sympan-Archive account will be the secondary ARPG account, and it will work as a database and master book of sorts for information, guides, imports, etc.
The Weebly site ( coming soon ) will not be an admin account ( it will be used by SheepMomther alone ), and it will work as the item index for now.
We probably will not be making an anouncement on organizational updates unless they're major and/or affect playability, but we will be making an announcement once the ARPG is fully fledged and ready to be used!

SGII: Ghosts in the Graveyard, and late Pride Adopts!
Good day!
The GITG game registration is closed, the Fun in the Lake game has ended, and the Ghosts in the Graveyard game has begun! As promised in the last news post, the second half of the Summer Games this year, we will be hosting a new game.
You can find the official Ghosts in the Graveyard event post here, and you can find your team's chat in the ARPG's Discord server!
Registration has closed, so only those who have successfully registered in teams will be able to participate; but there's still news for those who haven't!
We weren't able to host our annual Pride adopts in June, but they're still coming! If everything goes well, they should be with us in early September. The batch will be smaller than last year, considering we didn't have as much time or ennergy this time around, but the designs are as lovely as always.

Summer Games II !
Good day!
That's right, the Summer Games are here once again! As those of you who were here last year may know, the Summer Games are a festival celebrated in Sympan during the summer, in which Mime Dogs gather to play seasonal games in good fun, and earn ribbons and prizes.
This year, the Summer Games ( SG II ) will be featuring a new game: Ghosts in the Graveyard. Along with it, a prompt mini-game or two will come up as well!
Ghosts in the Graveyard aims to be a big event, so registration is open, but the game will be hosted later on; you can find how to register for the GITG game here.
The first prompt mini-game will come out tomorrow as well, so keep your eyes peeled!
This is our first time hosting a festival ( or any event for that matter ) on PaperDemon and Discord; please be patient and wish us luck, we'll try our best to make this a festival to remember!!
Remember that you don't need a Mime Dog to participate, as you can use a starter for the festival.

Small editions to the TOS and Rules!
Good day!
Apologies for an update so close to the last one, but these two files are very important, so I had to add it to the log!
The species' TOS and the Community Rules have been updated with a few minor but important points regarding imports, the ARPG's resources, and Mime Dog voiding. Basically, the TOS now states that Mime Dog owners give permission for us to post imports by giving credit to the respectful artists and owners, and that voided characters remain in the Master Book with the "VOIDED" label for organizational purposes. Both the TOS and the Community Rules have been edited to state that ARPG resources such as import base files, item art, etc. can only be used as instructed by and within the ARPG, and may not be used in other ways.
The changes won't affect your gameplay directly ( unless you planned on stealing the import bases and getting away with it "because it wasn't in the guides!!" ), but please give the files a reread either way! Always better safe than sorry, these files can be used against you even if you didn't read them sadly, and we definitely don't want that.
In smaller news, I've started uploading imports to the site! The first nine are up, check them out! Although most of them don't have import images yet, the data's all there. I'm very excited for this!!!

Moving to PaperDemon! Summer Games, TOS and Rules updates, and plans for the ARPG.
Good day and happy Pride Month!
As many of you have heard through our Discord server, we've been looking into a place to move the ARPG to after the implementation of DeviantArt Eclipse and the troubles it came with. Because we weren't certain about anything until now, we didn't announce it formally.
As of today, however, the move is official! I had a meeting with BogusRed, the owner of this small and lovely site, PaperDemon. They were very kind and nice to me, and we discussed how an ARPG would be implemented in the website, as well as how our ARPG would fit in the community. It was a very pleasant meeting, and I'm very happy we found similarities between both communities. What excited me the most is that both PaperDemon and the MD ARPG care deeply for our community members' health and safety, and I concluded that the move would be a great choice for the ARPG.
Like I said in the previous announcement, we started out as a tiny community inside another community, that later moved to its own Amino community for three good years. We planned on moving to DeviantArt, but Eclipse happened, and it helped us find PaperDemon.
I joined only a while ago, but I can tell I'm already very fond of this place, and I hope we can all rebuild our safe space and ARPG here without trouble!
To properly join, please create a PaperDemon account and post it along with your Amino account in this Google Form ! That way, we can update official trackers properly.

The move has cued me to revise the species TOS, the species information, and other informational guides. Additionally, Comunity Rules have been created, and they work together with the TOS!
Please give the TOS and community rules a read, as it's important that you're fully aware of them!

At the moment, ARPG activities are still being developed and will be on hold, but adoptable events aren't paused ( Pride adopts are coming on the second half of June! ).
Regarding festivals, the SF III was a success and quite a few Ribbons were given this year!! Thank you everyone for participating!
The Summer Games are being worked on, but with the current state of the world, the move, and the ARPG development, it will most likely be a small event like the SF III was. It will be hosted here on PaperDemon, with an announcement on the Amino and the Discord as usual, but the entries will have to be linked to a special Discord queue to receive your rewards, as official queues won't be available yet!
As usual, you can join with an NPC or a Starter if you don't have a Mime Dog of your own, so new PaperDemon users are more than welcome to join; we love having new friends around!!

Group kickstart and Spring Festival!
Good day!
The group is finally in decent shape and organization, which means we'll be kickstarting the group soon.
As many of you know, we used to be a small Amino community for three good years. Due to the site clashing with how we wanted to organize the community though, we've decided to move to DeviantArt and finally fulfill the dream of becoming an ARPG. The road will be long and difficult, and with this being SheepMomther 's first ARPG it will certainly be bumpy as well, so we'll be taking our time to feel how this should work for all of us to be as comfortable as possible. Currently, there's no feedback journal in the group. However, our official Discord Chat has channels for feedback and questions where admins will gladly help you out!
The two accounts the group works with are also being updated! MimeDog-Book is the official master list/book account, where you'll be able to find your Mime Dogs' imports once they've been uploaded. MimeDogs-Database is the official side account, where you can find the items, journals, and other important things for the ARPG! Both accounts are administrated by SheepMomther and the admins, and are for the ARPG's usage only.

In other news, it's April, which also means the flowery season has arrived! This year the Spring Festival III will be smaller for members and admins to get used to the new group dynamic, but the rewards will be great for the rest of your Mime Dog's journey!
