Group Currencies

 

There are multiple currencies in Tales from Equestria, but only one is used by the characters within the world. All other currencies are used to help structure and progress the game.

 

Horseshoes (HS)

 

Horseshoes (HS) are the modern currency in Equestria. When Wild Magic first surged, there was a panic and Bits became scarce. Ponies resorted to direct bartering during the tough times, with the running joke being that if a pony really wanted something they would “even trade their horseshoes”. When the reigning Princess Sun Break started to piece society back together, Bits were done away with due to confusion with old counterfeits and a shortage of the physical coins. Horse Shoes were minted and slowly worked into the economy as a replacement. 

 

Horseshoes are used to purchase basic items and unlockables within the group. These are earned through submissions and events. They can be traded between characters.

 

Horseshoes are awarded at the following rates:

 

Headshot: 5 HS x characters depicted

Halfbody: 10 HS x characters depicted

Fullbody: 15 HS x characters depicted

Sketch: 2 HS

Lineart: 5 HS

Color: 10 HS

Shading: 10 HS

Simple Background: 5 HS

Complex Background: 15 HS

Comic Panel: 5 HS

Animation: 15 HS

Painted: 10 HS

Prose: 1 HS per 20 words.

 

Admin use a calculator and award Horseshoes upon submission.

 

 

 

Progression Points (PP)

 

 

Progression Points (PP) are acquired by both characters and players alike. These points are used to unlock levels for characters and players, which in turn unlocks special abilities, items, and additional content. These are earned through submissions. These cannot be traded among characters and players.

 

Progression Points are awarded at the following rates for players:
 

Headshot: 5 PP x characters depicted

Halfbody: 10 PP x characters depicted

Fullbody: 15 PP x characters depicted

Sketch: 2 PP

Lineart: 5 PP

Color: 10 PP

Shading: 10 PP

Simple Background: 5 PP

Complex Background: 15 PP

Comic Panel: 5 PP

Animation: 15 PP

Painted: 10 PP

Prose: 1 PP per 20 words

Please note that characters only receive PP for their own depiction, not for any additional characters depicted in a submission.

Order Points (OP) and Chaos Points (CP)

 

 

Characters earn Order Points (OP) and Chaos Points (CP) sometimes through submissions and events. It is not entirely clear what they are for at the moment…there are rumors they could be associated with some type of transformation, but no one seems to know for sure. These cannot be traded between characters.
