For most citizens of Equestria it was a normal day, nothing that would stir the masses living in the safety of Canterlot and Ponyville.

But then the earth began to shake.

At first it was nothing more than you might experience crossing a wobbly bridge or standing near a passing overfilled cart. As the seconds passed, however, the rumbling grew. Small objects jittered off tables and shelves. Glasses broke, food spilled, and pots began to crack. A few ponies stumbled, then more fell. Shingles slid off roofs and shutters swung out and in.

The rumbling became a growl. In the distance there were sounds like fireworks and the earth split at the tension. From the edge of the forest surrounding Ponyville the earth began to separate in a jagged line. Dust and rock tumbled into the appearing gap. Like an angry maw, the forming canyon swallowed toppling trees and boulders. It crept back toward the distant Unicorn Mountain Range, where even the immovable peaks shuddered.

Birds sprang from the forests. Ponies screamed and cried in the cities. Just as a streak of light, Dawn Bringer herself, rose into the skies above Canterlot, the shaking ceased. Everypony was left with trembling limbs and thundering hearts, but the earth had stilled once more.

An earthquake has disrupted Equestria!

It will take time for Dawn Bringer, the Canterlot Guards, and the Knights to organize a response.

Prompt: Where was your character during the Earthquake? What did they experience during or directly after the quake?

+15 extra PP and HS per response to this prompt.
