Chapter 3: First Battle - Tasty Slime

3. Draw or write about your character trying to stop the boss without fighting it. Do they tie it down with ropes? Do they melt it with a hair dryer?

Ain always wondered what a slime would taste like. In his long, nearly immortal life he was always on the lookout for new things to experience. New places to look at, new, interesting people to meet as well as new food to try.

He came across many different dishes he began to like a lot and quickly found that most prepared food was to his liking. It made him wonder though how it would be if he were to try monsters. Some were plant based afterall and many of them would offer meat of different types. How would a desert monster taste? How about a snow one?

The thoughts alone made his belly rumble but Ain controlled himself, for now it was time to savor a slime he happened to stumble across on his stroll today.

He managed to learn a thing or two about preparing some food as well and decided to turn this little fellow into a nice, sweet dish. Defeating it was easy with his powers, he just gave it a little squeeze and it was done for. Then he added some sugar and stirred everything until it was well mixed.

People seemed to like whipped cream on top of as good as everything so he got himself a bit of that as well to honor the local cuisine.

What sat in front of him now was a bowl with green liquid, topped with cream. No one would want to eat that but Ain was too curious and dipped a spoon into the mixture to lead it to his mouth, his snake tongue curling around the metal and shoveling the slime inside.

To his surprise it tasted pretty good, sweet and savoury, and it was so easy to prepare as well! He’d for sure want to do this more often, he thought to himself while slurping the rest of the poor creature.

At least nothing got wasted.
