Finding Good Sprites

This is the first chapter of my comic making tutorial! Lot's of people have been asking me how to make these so I figured I'd start a tutorial about them. First off, you need a good plot. You can't just make it up as you go. Well actually you can, but you just need a good idea of what should be happening in your comic. Anyway, it must be a firm, strong plot, not something that would just end after about 10 episodes of your comics, unless you want it to end that quickly. A good example of a plot is for the hero/heroes, to save a princess. I know it sounds clich/font>, but you can make it funny and still good by making the characters do other things on their quest too. Also try to make your comic funny, if that's what you are going for. Don't use the same joke over and over again because it'll get stale. If it's a joke that everyone really seems to enjoy, then bring it back every now and then. Next, try to have some differences between your characters. Don't make them all the same. For better comedy effect, try making them all the opposites of each other. For example, one is really smart and the other is a complete idiot. That idea has actually been used a lot so it may be best to stay away from it. Also do the same for any villains. Next, try to keep the jokes related to whatever your comic is about. If it's a Super Mario comic, try to stay away from doing jokes about Final Fantasy, if you do, it won't be nearly as funny because they don't relate to each other that much. As a final note, DON'T take anyone else's ideas! Come up with your own. I think that's about it, now lets move to finding good sprites. Finding good sprites aren't that hard to find. You can easily look them up in Google, but the best places to look are the Spriter's Resource and The Shyguy Kingdom. That's all for now, check in soon for my next chapter, when you'll actually learn to make comics.
