Crystal Caves Campaign Chapter: Kassin: Chapter 3: The Truth and Mystery and ICECREAM DATE

Resting in the den cavern where the Crystal Wyrm rest, it was a city, or mostly what remains. While true, the idea to return to town to report make sense, Kassin not satisfy with the answer. With a smile he starts to jump down the steep slope toward the city, eager to unlock its secrets. Clearly not of this world, so there is likely some clue to be had, maybe life as well? 

Surveying the damage to the city, it was clear it was not from this world, nothing was relatable to Lyra. As they travel, a black serpent came rushing around the corner and come to a stop before then as Kassin grin. So, there was life here? Wonder if they are friendly? Well, there are ways to find out though may put Leslie in danger, but you know? Leslie seems very capable sort in case this meeting turns sour, so Kassin wait for the creature to talk.  

Kassin and Leslie was led by the serpent to the collapse building where one has an arm in a hole. The story was their son was down there, seem odd that they are sticking their arm down the hole like a lost ring, if they can get him like that then could not the child merely slither out? Kassin still figure either way it will be fun, so he reaches down and touch the stone...interesting stone make up. Let's see now...Raise the heat. Focus...As heat energy wave about Kassin, his hand glow so brightly his bones see through his hand as he touches the rock. He starts to pump a lot of energy into it, as he needs to incinerate more than the front stone as if there is more stone in support it will collapse over...soon half the building seems to turn to ash. 

Kassin doubt however was unfounded, as they found the child under the ruble. Well, Kassin do not mind being wrong as he and Leslie are taken to the center of the city where they set up a refugee camp. There they talk with the council member and find out that these folk never heard of portal let alone other planet. Kassin was more than happy to talk in greater detail from his experience of portal and the like. Even sprinkle a bit of tales of his exploits though they seem more like deed of fellow Guild mate with Kassin stand in the background. 

After a time, the two return with news of what happened, truth reveal but the mystery remains. The guild of course has most folk dealing with the Lyra city but Kassin and few other helps the city in the cave, the Thath city. It was a busy time as the whirlwind of confusion and the effort to help not one, but two cities made it stress on all resources they had to start. It was insane how this came about and despite the question, many must save those for another time. Guild Mage had to talk to the Thath council about their home world, the idea if they cannot teleport their city home, perhaps open a portal to their home world. Days pass and there seems to be no break in sight as folk were exhausted with the rebuilding and restocking. Kassin was in high spirit through all of this, something some people draw strength from and other just found annoying. 

Kassin was no stranger to paperwork, so it no wonder most folk push it onto him, Luckly he was well verse in legal mumbo jumbo. Most were just papers confirming said resources going to the right place or the right air is administered to the proper party involved nothing questionable yet. So, when suddenly, Leslie lord over his mountain of paperwork to announce it time for their date, Kassin was more than willing to take the break. Leslie has admitted he impress that no matter what, Kassin seem all ways dress to kill, looking at home behind the desk as much as during their adventurer. Kassin, admit he tend to grow attach to his outfit and find it easier to move in then new clothing, except for boots, that a pain for him. 
 
Leslie seems to enjoy a short jest that Kassin must have trouble with getting the right pair of shoes before arriving to enjoy their date. Kassin mostly ask about Leslie business, curiously about his smithing and was curious if the city mob simmer down. Leslie admits, the city citizens have calmed down, but now they are seeking someone or something to blame and are not able to agree on to just what or who. A Long deep talk was had, which Kassin had enjoy several dozen Ice Cream which he kindly mention he will pay for his extra serving. The two leave the ice cream shop and head to a large cliff to look over the land. They watch it and know in time; the land and its people will heal.
