Tome of Istornim: Boss Battle - Slithery Slope

3. Draw or write about your character climbing onto the giant mech and trying to stay on!

 

The mech in front of them looked huge but Istornim didn’t falter. He was determined to climb the metallic structure to be able to land a few hits on Portal Posi and that determination manifested in more strength and speed.

 

„Let’s go, Viiris. We shouldn’t waste any more time analyzing.“

 

The elf next to him grunted but nodded in return because he knew that Istornim was right. It won’t do them any good to keep watching the movement of the snake any longer, there was nothing they could do besides climbing and reaching its open mouth for a real chance.

 

Istornim closed his eyes and took a deep breath, switching to a battle stance with his arms being brought close to his body like a monk would. He then began to rush towards the serpent and for whichever reason his feet seemed to be able to stay attached to its slippery coating.

 

Viiris followed him but instead of simply running up the structure, he relied more on jumping from plate to plate, holding onto screws and seams with which they were attached to the main body. The enemy did its best to wriggle as much as it could without throwing Posi out of its mouth but Istornim and Viiris stuck to it like glue.

 

„This is ridiculous..!“

The elf from under Istornim complained but he on the other hand actually had fun. His hands and feet sticking to the structure due to his earth abilities he probably looked ridiculous, possibly like a frog.

 

„Well, you can at least enjoy the view from down there! Let’s make haste to reach the top before Posi actually manages to throw us off!“

 

He chuckled and picked up his pace again, running upwards again to finally be able to jump into the serpent its mouth. Viiris followed though he wasn’t as fast.
