Time Machine Character concept

Well I haven't been around much but that's cause I have alot of work this quarter. But anyway I wanted to give you guys a glance at what I've been working on in my character design class.

Yeah the assignment was to pick a fairy tale or story and redesign elements and characters from that story. I picked "The Time Machine" by HG Wells cause there's a really nice range of characters to design from. These are just some of the head shots though I'll post the actual character sketches and silhouette's sometime later. The characters you see here are the time traveler (he never says his name in the book) and one of the Morlocks (the crazy looking bat dude)

Bet you guys didn't know I could draw Disney stylie did you!! I chose mice because humans weren't working out that well for me ( as you'll see when I post the silhouettes) so I did something out of my comfort zone: animals! Woo!! Well rodents to be exact. Mice, bats, and weasels.

...Sorry for the long description... ^.^;;

-heavily influenced by The Great Mouse Detective, Secret of NIMH, and Mice Templar-

          I remember the newest movie. It wasn't that great they hardly followed the book. I haven't seen the other one though.

            the first one followed the book. it's was pretty good. If they redone it like the old movie then it'll be pretty awsome lol.

              It would be awesome. People just don't trust the literature by itself. They feel they need to change it for people to like it. That goes for a lot of book to movie adaptations.
