Ethan VS. Gohan 2

OK this is the remake I talked about in the first VS. pic. For the most part it's nearly finished I just have to make a few changes here and there and I'm contemplating whether or not to color it. Any ideas guys? Should I color it? Anyway I'm not a big fan of how I made Ethan's face in this one but I've tried to change it so many times but it's just not working out oh well though I love Gohan's expression. If there's anything off in here that you guys think needs attention tell me about and I'll try and fix it.

Well, the dynamics in this one is MUCH more interesting, but I think I know what the main problem with Ethan's head is- He's not actualy looking at Gohan. That expression may just work if he was looking at him. If you can make him look at Gohan, I think you'd find this pic would be a winner ^^ I personally don't think there's anything wrong with the expression- if he's in a bit of a psychotic rage (is this character like this?) Its a hard angle that one... cause you'd se only up to his cheek bones

  I had alot of trouble with his head in general and not just his expression. I think your sketch was exactly what I was going for I just didn't know how to draw it. I'll see if I can change it to look that way thanks much for your comment

  Yeah, you chose a particulaly hard angle there hon ^^; I can't think of the last time I tried it myself, which is why my sketch wasn't too great, but find some photo referances, or get a friend or someone to try that angle on them selves. I sometimes get my brother to do that on the ones I can't find refs for ^^;

  It was difficult! I found that out the hard way but your sketch cleared it up for me and I'll be able to fix it now. My brother wouldn't pose for me if his life depended on it so I have to wing it sometimes. Like this pic for instance

I'll have to agree with you about Ethan's expression in this one versus the other version. In the other version, he looks like he is concentrating more. And he looks more "intense" than in this one, but this expression is still nice too. I like that we get to see Gohan's full face instead of just a profile shot like in the other one, though. The main thing that I can see that is a little "off" in this one is that Ethan's hair on the side of his head seems to be a little too far back on his head. It should be more full and closer to his eyebrows on the side of his head. It really does look wonderful though. And I think you should color it. I think that will put more "feeling" into it. Much love. ^_^

  Yeah the hair was another thing in here that was bugging me I'll attempt to fix it and his expression in the other one was perfect when I attempted to duplicate it in here it didn't work out as well. Thanks for your input
