Roy Mustang

*sigh* This is my first time drawing Mustang so please don't flame me really bad!! Alright, I wanted to draw Roy Mustang for a long time now but I wanted to draw something that showed the softer, more innocent, non-political side of him. So I thought him sleeping was the best wat yo do this. I also have to work on depth for a class I'm in and I could pull it all up with this one.

Also, I was going to draw Riza in the top, right-hand corner with that really sweat way she looks at him but then I thought "He's sleeping and some people might get the wrong idea and think I'm trashy.". So, I decided to just make it be a window. XD

You know, Roy is one of my favorite characters in all of animated history, so on that grounds I'm going to have to say I really like this depiction of him. :3 I like that you captured a strong part of his character in that, yes, he does look peaceful here, but there's still this tense look about his eyebrows, y'know? It's cute, i would really like to see this colored. <3 I like how you managed the shape of the pillow, too.

That only thing that bothers me is that his hand seems a bit misproportioned - I think because you drew the fingers all mostly the same length. But other than that, this is adorable.

  Yes, I see what you mean about his hand. I was trying to make it look like his farthest most 2 fingers were behind the pillow but it did create the illusion of his fingers being very short.

Great job, you manage the emotions you wanted pretty well. I was about to comment on how at peace this caracter seemed to be! I love this, will you be coloring it?

  Aww, thanks SO much Lili!! Actually, it's already colored. I just havn't submitted it to PD yet. I'm waiting on finishing posting my Zodiac Signs first. I've gotten myself so backed up on posting it's almost not funny.

  I'm like that everywhere. I really only like to submit one picture a day per site and I get myself so I have so many things I never post because of it. I'm a just a die-hard art-a-holic.

Everybody has to sleep peacefully once every blue moon... but blue moons aside, this pic is utterly cute! ^ ^
