Brief biography: In 2936, at the age of 17, Samuel Reed stepped into a speedflight spacecraft for the first time. As soon as his military service ended, he signed up for his first competitive racing event. Not long after, he was in the top leagues, and winning consistently. After a decade of aging preventing him from getting the newly allowed modifications, this spot was in jeopardy. Deciding to bow out gracefully, he joined a test program that was seeking to send a human piloted craft beyond lightspeed, fully knowing the acceleration rate coupled with the time dilation means he would almost certainly not survive to the end of his solitary voyage. Against all odds, he survived to reach the goal, but when he did, he did not expect what would happen to him.
