Kirianne grew up in a loving household, with one older brother and both parents.  They were part of a small oceanside fishing community.  Kirianne's fondest memories are of her father telling her stories of heroes and battles of the past, and the rare instances when travelling minstrels would stay at the local inn, performing music and weaving tales during the evenings in exchange for food and drink.  Kiri became fascinated with music and the emotions they could convey.

When she came of age, Kiri left home with her home-carved flute, taken up the mantle of a wandering bard, meeting new people and making new stories as she went.
