I don't know about you guys, but I often like to keep some messages in my inbox, such as nice reviews that people have left me or sometimes I just want to keep some critiques in my inbox as reminders. But because of that, I'm receiving an email every day for messages I already know about. Some people get a message in their inbox and never check their email or the PD website and end up with like 50 emails in their inbox because they've got an unread message sitting there.

So at the suggestion of [user348], I've rewritten the program for sending out emails. Now it only sends out a notification telling you of new messages within the past 24 hours (or if your notification setting is set to weekly, you'll get a notification only on the past 7 days of critiques received).

I've also taken out some of the stuff in the email like latest artwork and writing to make room to put the latest news post. So some of you may be reading this message within your email notification :D. Sometimes the news is important and many people don't read the news for PD :( So perhaps with the news in the emails, people will be more likely to read what's going on at PD.

I've also added a new option regarding email notification. You can now choose to not receive any emails at all. If you are a highly active member on PD, I suggest you select this new option to reduce the load on the server of sending out emails. You can change your setting for how often to receive email notifications by going into the Members Area and clicking on Edit Profile.
