Spam and Comments
Yes, we knew it would come to this sooner or later. There ARE disadvantages to letting anyone post comments on artwork and writing.... spammers. :doh: We've been hit with a big one. A message so long, i think it's about 150 lines of links to some stupid website.

If you have received any spam, flame, or lame comments on your artwork or writing, please hit that pretty little Report to Webmaster link under the comment IMMEDIATELY so I can IP ban the spammers to prevent them from doing further damage. You can also send me an Instant Message with a link to the page with the comment(s). (view my profile to see my IM handles).

I will make some changes to my code tomorrow to prevent further spamming. If the problem continues, I may have to restrict commenting to members only, at least temporarily.

I swear, I almost started to cry when i saw that spam message. :cries: Honestly! Build your traffic the way everyone else does. By taking the time to do honest SEO-ing. Don't spam other people's websites just to increase your f-king ratings in Google!

You know, the spamming has gotten so bad on my personal blog, BogusRed.net, that I had to turn off commenting. Every day I was getting a new comment with an advertisement to increase my penis size. The people who write these spam bots are EVIL.

Avatars and Image Folio
