Chapter 6: SIX: 124 words
PROMPT 6: Draw or write about your character in the aftermath. Do they find a mostly-intact couch to nap on? Do they offer aid to the injured? Do they ransack the mansion for a way to reverse the were-curse? Do they take a carriage beast and take their leave?
Caspian ran his weary gaze over the ruin and destruction. He could feel his body wail and lament in protest, crying out in the aftermath of the reversed, unwelcome transformation. His lungs chased a breath to catch, making his breathing heavier than he would've liked it to be.
A familiar, distorted whinny reached the shifter's sensitive ears. He turned his eyes to the sound, and saw the dark-skinned carriage creature prance in place. Its equine-like frame danced with tiny movements in awkward anxiousness, like a child screaming can we go, I'm bored.
The eternal recognized a hint when he was offered one. He walked to the beast with long steps, and gently petted its bony muzzle. At least someone remembered him.
A comforting thought.
