Story Summary

Gohan's family has been wiped out. Broly has hunted down and killed every last one of them except Trunks and Gohan. Their powers are slipping away due to a wish to Shenron from Broly. They're becoming human and there's nothing they can do about it. It seems that all hope is lost until Gohan hears about a woman called Brook who could possibly save them from certain death. But Brook has baggage of her own to take care of she can't afford to take on other people's problems but then she's not about to let the Earth suffer along with Gohan and Trunks. This is a cross over of my original story and the DBZ world it was inspired by a picture I drew call Brook VS. Broly I think it's somehwere still in my gallery. Though I redrew it and plan on posting it soon. This is a short series maybe about 6 chapters at the most but I hope you guys enjoy it and tell me what you think of it :)

Chapter 1: Proposition

~ This place… it’s so strange. It’s nothing like Satan City. ~ Gohan thought as he descended to the ground in a dark disheveled city. The skyscrapers were falling apart there was rubble and debris in the road the whole city looked like it had been through a war zone.

Rain soaked his jet-black hair as he quickly located a bar and walked inside. When he stepped in he saw but two people: A woman bartender and a man with sandy colored hair-sipping vodka sitting in a booth all the way in the back of the bar. The lights were dim and gloomy. He couldn’t even make out the features on the man’s face but he caught the glimmer of metal on his neck and two glowing lights amidst the robotics. He sensed that he was some type of weapon one that wasn’t to be fucked around with. Gohan then looked over at the woman and studied her features. Light brown hair that ended about mid-back, sapphire blue eyes, a trim slender body structure, She wore a gold necklace with a gold heart pendant hanging form it, she had a red turtle neck sweater and close fitting low rise jeans on. He also noticed a small symbol on the collarbone of her sweater but thought nothing of it. Gohan sensed that she was a type of warrior maybe a solider of some sort.

He reached into his pocket and took out a piece of paper with a photo of a glorious thriving city; something that looked like it came straight from a sci-fi future movie. On the back it read a single name and the name of the bar: Brooklyn Michelle Bronx and Deceive. He stepped forward and cleared his throat.

“Um…excuse me.” Gohan spoke cautiously almost afraid to break the silence. The woman looked up at him.

“Can I help you?” Her voice seemed tired and worn out but somewhat friendly.

“This is Aiden city right? I mean I have a picture…but this place looks nothing like it.” He walked over and handed her the photo while taking a seat at a barstool. She kind of chuckled to herself while looking at the picture.

“Yeah, you’re in Aiden city alright this photo is too, but this picture is older than me by 21 years. Aiden city just isn’t what it used to be.” She said while handing the picture back to him.

“Well maybe you can still help me. This bar is called Deceive correct,” the woman nodded, “Then do you know someone by the name of Brooklyn Michelle Bronx?” The sandy haired man paused in mid drink and his eyes shifted slightly to the side with suspicion towards Gohan.

“That’s me… who sent you?” Her tone turned from friendly to threatened in a split second.

“My father…” Gohan was confused did he say something wrong?

“Who’s your father?” Brook half yelled.

“Goku…Why?” Her nerves calmed and she relaxed. The man with sandy hair continued his drink.

“It’s nothing, I was just- never mind,” She shook her head, “I don’t know anyone by the name of Goku.”

“He told me that you could help us. He said that he spoke with some one named Whellis who said that you would be our best chance.” She leaned on the counter and got face to face with him.

“What’s your name?” She asked.

“Gohan.” He replied with slight fear.

“Listen, Gohan I don’t know what kind of sick little joke you’re playing but I think you should leave my bar now.” Brook continued quietly.

“I-I don’t understand…what’d I say?” Gohan stammered.

“ My father’s name was Whellis. He died when I was 14 that was ten years ago. There’s no possible way that your dad could have talked to mine.” She stated with anger in her voice.

“Well no that’s not completely true, was your dad a warrior or soldier or something like that?” Gohan asked.

“All of the above.” She responded.

“Then it’s possible that your dad is in Other World. That is if he put other people’s lives before his own.”

“On a daily basis.” Brook folded her arms and leaned on the back counter.

“That means he got to keep his body. Usually when someone dies only his or her soul get to go to the checkout station to wait to be to sent Hell or Heaven. Other World is where the people who get to keep their bodies go and be trained under one of the four Kai’s.” Brook stared blankly at him thinking he was completely insane but going along with him.

“What does this have anything to do with our dad’s talking?” She inquired.

Well my dad got to keep his body after he died seven years ago. Since they’re both from Earth they both get to train under King Kai. They probably know each other very well up there.” Gohan stated.

"You know this is all very informative but this doesn’t explain how your dad told you about me. He’s dead he shouldn’t be able to say anything, unless there’s some miraculous way he can talk to you from beyond the grave.” There was an awkward silence before Gohan spoke up. He told her that King Kai could project a person’s voice in Other World to someone on Earth if they wished to talk. Brook was dumbfounded. Who was this kid? And most of all what did he want with her? ‘Listen it’s getting late and I have to close up soon. I’m guessing you don’t have anywhere to go. I have plenty of spare rooms if you need one.” The sandy haired man took a quick glance at her as if he was offended and looked back down at his drink.

“Oh thank you I’d really appreciate that.” Gohan replied and the sandy haired man stood up suddenly and slammed down his glass, tossed money on the table, and stormed out of the bar. Brook stared after him with and apologetic look on her face, as she watched his silhouette walk passed the window in the downpour. She went and collected the money and sighed heavily.

“Do you know him?” Gohan asked. She looked down at the money.

“…No I don’t,” She seemed to hesitate before answering, “You know while you’re at it you can tell me more about this Other World place.” She changed the subject while grabbing her worn out brown jacket and slipped it on.

“You know if it’s really true that you’re the only one that can help us you’re probably going to go there too when your time comes.” Gohan stated as Brook grabbed her keys and walked out the front door while he followed her. “ You can tell me more about yourself too, Brooklyn.”

“Just Brook is fine. There’s only one person allowed to call me Brooklyn.” She said as they stepped out into the pouring rain and rushed inside her sleek looking sports car. Gohan found it strange that she had such a nice car but lived in a destroyed city. “Well I’m sure you didn’t come her e for the scenery. Is there a reason you came looking specifically for me?” Brook asked as rain pounded on the roof of her car.

“Um…well, I have a proposition for you.” Gohan said.

“A proposition?” Brook was intrigued. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

“I will pay you good money to kill some one.” Brook looked over at him with her mouth a gape in shock.
