TFOTFW: Chapter 16

At the Akatsuki hide out…


Kohaku and Shino are glad to hear that they can all head back home. Vince on the other hand felt that there was something wrong and bad going to happen and it wasn’t a battle it was something to deal about Dawn and her having the baby. This started to worry him; Jason took notice of Vince’s reaction. Jason stayed quiet he didn’t want to stir any stress or reaction of the group.

Down the hallway, Itachi and Ultamia were having their rants with one another, until Itachi felt something wrong in Dawn’s room. “Ultamia…you are to stay put for now on and do not even step foot into Dawn’s room understood!” said Itachi. Ultamia didn’t answer him until she felt his hand on her face making her to look up at him. Ultamia flinched and moved Itachi’s hand away as she walked away form him heading to another room further down the hallway and slammed the door. Itachi sighed to himself.

Dawn was in her bed, not getting the rest that she needed; she gets out of the bed and stood up only to fall on the floor. She cured to herself but stopped to notice that the floor was wet… looking down she began to panic before she could even think what that was she felt strong contractions. She held in the immense pain, her breathing was short for every minute, as the contractions grew stronger Dawn could not bring her self to get off the floor. Her contractions getting stronger, as she fought her way to get off the floor and into the bed…she only managed to rest her arms on the bed using it as something to grab.

Jason heard Dawn trying to telecommunicate to him about her and the baby. But he wasted no time neither did Vince. “Change of Plans…” was all that Jason said as he & Vince stormed out and headed into the room where Dawn was. Itachi knew of what was happening, but also felt someone trying to enter the hide out. He heads up to see who was trying to get in. Stopping mid way to see woman dressed in an Anbu uniform. “Who are you, and why are you here?” asked Itachi. “Dammit, I don’t have time to answer all of your questions Itachi!” said the girl. Itachi grabbed her by the arm, but was soon cut short as her sword was at Itachi’s throat. “I am here to help Dawn and to deliver her baby. You do not have anyone here that can do that…Now get the hell out of my way, or would you prefer for her & her baby to die because of YOU standing in my way.” Said the girl as she released her sword away from Itachi’s throat. “I am here by myself, no one else came with me.” Said the girl as she made her way to the room where Dawn was.

The girl opened the door to see a small group, two helping Dawn on the bed Jason & Vince, and the other two Shino & Kohaku stood off the side. “Alright, both you two OUT …NOW!” yelled the girl who told both Shino & Kohaku to leave the room. They leave without even bothering to ask who she was; they left the room as they were told to do. Jason looked up at the girl, wondered who she was watching the girl removing her armor with her chakra and her hands glowed a bright white. Vince was trying to keep Dawn calm but also her breathing in check. “Who are you?” asked Jason as he was setting some of his supplies aside on the other nightstand. “I’m Kaminari, a close friend to Dawn. I came here to help with Dawn’s baby.” Said Kaminari as she started to set up her own supplies for Dawn and the Baby. Dawn’s contracts was getting worse to a point she had no choice but to push her baby out. Kaminari yanked all the rest of the blankets off the bed as they dropped on the floor.


Itachi who was in the hallway headed to the room where Ultamia was in he walked in the room to see Ultamia lying on the bed. Itachi closed and locked the door behind him. Only to hear Kohaku banging on the door telling Itachi of Dawn’s condition & the baby; Itachi snapped and unlocked the door, opened it and rushed to the other room where Dawn was having her baby leaving Kohaku standing with Shino in the hallway. Ultamia got up form her bed, pissed off that Itachi had yet once again left the room to attend to DAWN again.

Itachi opened the door, he heard the sound of bones being cracked or moved. He over heard Kaminari telling Jason she needed more help and that Dawn’s hips are dislocating and the baby was trying to come out.

Itachi went a few feet, and stopped only to hear more cracking form Dawn’s hips, and hearing her in pain killed him. Jason helped Kaminari with delivering the baby that was trying to get out. Kaminari flipped when she and Jason couldn’t get the umbilical cord that was wrapped around the baby’s neck. Ultamia suddenly appeared between the two where she moved the umbilical cord off the newborn’s neck. Just in time so that the baby started to breathe and cry out. Kaminari handed Ultamia a towel for her to clean up the baby. Kaminari then passed Ultamia a thick layer of blanket for the baby to be wrapped in. Ultamia wrapped up the baby.  

Itachi looked at Ultamia who handed the child to Dawn, Dawn was breathing rather hard but smiling as she looked at Ultamia almost surprise. Dawn had thought since than when Ultamia attempted to kill her from out of envy, never thought the ANBU Kunoichi was helping her. Ultamia looked away from Dawn's eyes finding it rather uncomfortable as her eyes dimmed and manage to smile a weak smile before quickly disappearing into anger, " whatever...no child such as yours should die...I'm doing my thing..." she glanced at Dawn and glared at her, " I do not want any praise..." her eyes narrowed at Dawn more, " from you...at the most part..." and Ultamia started to walk away as she glared at Itachi, " I hope she'll be with you...as a lover...than rather me instead...my heart is already toyed enough...fare you well and I hope we DON'T meet again..." as Itachi eyed at her with annoyance and everyone else in the room huddling to see Dawn's newborn hushed. Itachi growled but his stoic expression stayed on task and so was his feet on the ground, " I was about to thank you...but than again..." he turned away, " whatever" a scoff. Ultamia eyed coldly at Itachi, " so desu ka?" before she frowned disappointed of herself to act so rashly upon him, " am I...what am I to you Itachi-kun?" her head tilted downward and her eyes shadowed as Dawn can see gloominess and feelings of agony became clouds over her.
Itachi managed to sneakily look upon her by the corner of his eyes as he felt his heart throbbed when she said that. They have been together ever since Itachi captured her for being some spy for Konaha and on an S-rank mission to capture him. They were through a parody trial of many difficult obstacles. She managed to heal his eyes and warn him many time not to use Mangekyou...but he distrusted and disobey her words and this was his punishment. For the most part this was her punishment to him, to kill Dawn and to give him a cold shoulder. Dawn made a noise to signal Itachi as Itachi snapped back to reality but before he can say something. Ultamia was already gone. " Shit!" he cursed as he glanced at Dawn and Dawn nodded at him with a smile as she whisper, " tell her the truth" the truth...the confession he had in stored for many years...his true feelings. He bolted after her, " ULTAMIA WAIT!”
