 Chapter 4

 AS soon as everyone was in the main room. Angel sat in a chair by the window. It was dark out side. Avi and Ari sat on the floor where a checker board was laying. Gareth was sitting on a couch next to Kat. It looked like they was hitting it off. And Elisa wasn't around. Nobody asked where she went. I was about to sit next to Kat. Gage grabbed my elbow, stopping me, "Remember our walk?, he said softly.. I blushed, and nodded. He smiled, then pulled me toward him, "We're going for a walk!". "Oh that sounds like fun! Mayhap I should chaprion." Gareth said, winking at Kat. Gage glared over his shoulder stopping at the archway, and gave a growl. Gareth held up his hands, "It was a jest. Go!". Gage linked his arm in mine, holding my hand in his, and he headed me out of the room, before they busted out laughing.

 I blushed, and held my laugh. We walked down to the beach. The moon was raising from the ocean. The water was still. We stopped at the edge of the water where it could almost touch our shoes. I noticed, as I looked down at his feet, he was wearing black boots, with his black suit. They looked like the type that was waterproof. His hand tighten on mine, and I looked up at him. He turned me to him, as he looked at me. His face had a look on it I have never seen before. In the moonlight his face features were illumuntis. His hair shimmered by the light of the moon and the water. His eyes looked crystaled, and hypnotizing. All I could do was looked in his eyes. A small breeze blew causing his hair to flow from his ponytail, and his hair shimmered in the moonlight. How can a man be this beautiful? I thought. Suddenly he was leaning down and kissing my lips. I gasped inside as he deepen the kiss, and held closer to him with his arms around me. I closed my eyes and gave in, wrapping my arms around his board shoulders, and kissing him back. 

 He pulls away some, I felt his breath on my face, "Do you remember me?" He asked. I looked at him. His face was red, with a look of hoping.
 "Remember you?' I asked softly, "I don't think I-" Suddenly a vision came in my mind. The blond hair boy in the ocean. I let out a gasp, "You was him?". He licks his lips, and nodded. "The small boy that help me when I was little?".
 He smiled, and chuckled, "I was around the age of 10, at that time. I wasn't that small.".
 I smiled, and blushed, my heart was racing. He was still holding me close and my arms were still around his shoulders. "You remembered me?".
 "I couldn't forget you." He said grinning, "You can't forget your first love." 

 I blushed, "Wh-What?". He laughs, as his hand cup my cheek, "I tried so hard to look for you after that, but I never could find you. I found out from one of the maids at that resort, that your parents left right after they found you on the rock. I was hoping to play and talk with you again. And when I turned 21, I came here to this mansion that my parents bought for a Vaction home. But they never used it, so I bought it from father." He turned and wlked me down the beach, talking more. "I gave my father 2 million for this mansion, and to let me live here.". "2 million?" I said, wide eyed looking at his profile. He smiled, "Yes. I sold some of my possessions for it.". "Possessions?" I asked. He chuckles, "It's funny how much you can get for a few diamonds, and emerolds. I got so much money now, I don't know what to buy with it.". I blinked in awe, "I knew you must be rich, with the mansion and all. But, you bought your freedom? from you father?". 

 He sighed, stopping holding my hand tighter, "Father is very, overbearing when coming to us, his children. We can leave home until we are 25.". "25?" "Yes, unless we buy are freedom, or run away, but father would send his, gurads to find us.". "Gurads?" I asked, Is he a prince? I thought. Gage looked out at the ocean, "I'm not excatly from here, Karou.". 
 "You aren't?" I asked. He looked back at me with serious, "My father is a king. One kind of four, from where I came from.". 
 I nodded, "I thought so. So you are a prince? But, where excatly are you from? Not England, right?". He pressed his lips togeter, and nodded no, "No. I am from Atlantis." He looked back at the ocean, "From out there.". I looked out to the still ocean, "The sea?". "Yes." He replied. "But, how?" i asked, before I remember the tail fin, "You-" i looked back at him, he was looking at me, the wind blew harder than before, causing his hair to break free from its hold. 

 "He's a merman." Elisa said in a deeper voice than before, she was suddenly next to us. I looked at her to him, then back. I remembered, I was so happy when I discovered that when I was 7 years old that day, that day I fell in love with a mer-boy! 
 "A merman." I said softly looking at him. His hair flew around him, as his eyes never strayed from mine.
 "Well, now that you know." Elisa chuckles, "And that is not a good thing, you know. For a mortal to know, right Gage.".

 Gage suddenly wide eyes with rage, turning to Elisa. She smirked, "You shouldn't be looking at me, I tried my best to stop you from coming here, even tried to seduce you into loving me. But you always resisted. But-" She laughed, "Now that your human love interested knows of us. Well, all I have to do is wait until she is despoide of, so I can finally have you.".

 "What?" I said softly, looking at her. She glared at me, "Oh come on. You don't really think your daddy dearest would let you be happy with this patheic human, Gage. You know better. He isn't like Triton in the least. And we were arranged to marry!".

 I wide eyed, "M-marry?". I looked at Gage. He was looking at her with hate.
 "That is a lie, Elisa. And you know why. I would never marry you, not even if I was ordered by father, and I wasn't ordered to. Only your twisted father made that arrangment after you came back, different." His eyes lowered at her, "Before you changed you was my friend, one of my bestest, but I don't know what happen to you, Elim. Now, your just as twisted as you father.".

 Elisa scowled at him, narrowing her eyes, "You, Gage. All you ever did was talk about this, this human female! How you saved her, you talked about her all the time, it made all of us sick!" She turned her attentions back on me, "You are nothing! You wench of a human!" She scowled again, Suddenly, wind begind to blow more firece than before, "I have loved Gage since I was born, then he met you!".

 Gage grabbed me into his arms, as the wind blew more, "Elisa, stop!" HE yelled over the wind.

 Her eyes glowed orange, "No." Her voice was deeper and dark, "Not until you relieze she is nothing, and you love me!" The wind blew harder.

 "Gage?" I asked ina small voice, He shield me from debre, "Run back to the mansion when i distact her.". "But?". He kissed my lips, "Now!" He pushed me away, then grabbed Elisa's shoulders, and did something that hurt me. Kissed her! I wide eyed, no, no, my heart broke. I couldn't run. My face was wet from my tears that fell. 

 Gage glances at me, and wide eyes, "Go!" He said as he pulled away. I took a step to run, but wind blew and I went flying back to the still ocean. "No!" Gage yells. The wind quit and I was dunked into the water. The water rush in my nose and mouth as I tried to swim up to the surface. But, the water was to much and I wasn't fighting. I saw nothing but darkness as I sank.
