 Chapter 7

 “I see.” Trinten swam to an opening looking out onto Atlantis. “So Elisa’s father wants you and Elisa to marry.”
 “Father, I know you wanted me to take over the thrown, but, I-” Gage started.
 “Gage, I know.” His father turned to him, Gage held me to him, “All I want is for my children to be happy. And I can see you love her, like I love your mother.” His father held Ange, “You have my blessing, Gage. I’m not the mean merman as Elisa believes I am. Elisa’s father will be dealt with as well as Elisa. “
 “Father.” Gage bowed, then looks at me, “I think maybe I need to take you back up, Kat must be worried about you and confused about me.”.
 I nodded. His father took Gage’s hand, ‘Remember to visit more often, Gage. You are still my son.’. 
 Gage nods, as they shook hands, then he pulled me to him, ‘We will visit again.’ Gage glances at me and smiles. ‘If she will have me.”. 
 I blinked, then gasped, ‘ Gage?’ 
 He lowered, like on a bend knee, ‘ I know we just recently meet again, but I have searched for you for so long and now since I found you, I can’t wait any longer, as my Mother and Father are witnesses to this, I want to ask you, Will you marry me? As humans do, and as Atlantistains. ‘ 
 My heart thumped in my chest. He was asking me to ma-marry him? I thought. ‘It seems so dear.’ Ange said, holding her laughter, and crying at the same time.

‘Just say the word, and we are mated.” Gage said, pulling me to him, and wrapping his tail around my legs. 
‘Word?” I asked. He smiled, “Just say yes.”.
‘Yes?” I said, blinking. He grinned, and suddenly kissed him. There were swirls of water and little creatures of the ocean, around us. My hair was flowing up, and Gages hair curled with mine. ’What is going on?” I thought, but thinking past that was hard as Gage deepen his kiss. I gasped as his tongue touched mine, and all thinking went out my mind’s window, and I gave in, kissing him back.

“Would be better if you save some for your mating tonight.” Gages father said, breaking the spell I was under. ‘M-M-Mating?!’ I thought, my jaw dropped, and I wide eyed. Gage glances at his father, then back at me, “It’s the same as humans wed. The mer-folk has their own rituals. We will mate tonight, since we are mated now.”. “W-W-We married? Just like that?!” I asked, closing my mouth, water was coming in. Gage laughs, “Yes, my father and mother has witness our joining, and it is one hundred percent legal, well, in Atlantis anyway. We’ll soon marry on the land, and become husband and wife as humans wed. Though our wedding night comes sooner than excepted. We will have to make love tonight. It‘s important, and binds us forever.” He blushed. Blushed! His smile got bigger and bigger. ‘Is he thinking of it?!’ I thought, blushing.
“Gage! You naughty boy! You’re still old enough for me to spank you!” Ange said, with her hands on her hips, “Did living on land give you such thoughts?”.
“Well he must have been popular with the women on land.” His father said.

I didn’t want to hear that. Gage gasps as I glared at him. “N-No! Kaoru is the only woman I have charmed.” 
“Really?” I said, not convinced. He had to be a playboy with his looks and all. I crossed my arms, and looked away from him. Gage swam in front of me, and said, “Really! I’m not what you think I am, Kaoru! I’ve been looking for you and had no time for other women!”.
Oh, that was good. “Really?” I said looking away again. He swam to the left in my sight, and said, blushing, “I said that wrong! What I meant is you’re the only one I want. I’ve never been a playboy on land or even here! Mother, Father!” He glances at them. I glanced at them. 

They were enjoying our little interaction. “It’s true.” His mother said. “Gage was always talking about you, even before he knew what mating was. And I never saw him with a mermaid, and he never even looked at another female.”. “Really?” I said, glancing at him. Gage nods. Ange smirks, “Yes, and Gage is still, what they call them, a virgin, as humans put them.”. 
I blushed, “Really?” Happier to have Gage’s romantic life confirmed, he was not a playboy.

Gages face got bright red, and he swallowed, “M-Mother you don’t have to go that far.” He said showing his teeth. Now,, I did see where Angel got her mischievous from. Ange giggles, “As you see Gage, Koaru is happy.”. 
I was smiling, blushing and giggling. He’s a virgin! Gage is a virgin! He hasn’t had sex with anyone. Yes! But, it was hard to believe a guy like Gage is a virgin, and all. I thought, looking back at him. He swallowed, and said, “Well,” He straighten and puffed out his chest and said, “I may be a virgin now, but after tonight.” He grinned at me, and wiggle his eyebrows. I couldn’t help but laugh. He grabbed me and hugged me, then said, “We better go.”.
“Yes. You make sure and come back to see Atlantis again. We are still family.” His father said.
“I hope to see you again, Daughter.” Ange said to me. 

I smiled and nodded, and Gage swam as he held me to him out of the castle and toward the water swirls. “Huh, Gage. What is that?” I asked him. He lifted a brow and looked at me, “It’s the gate of Atlantis. Only Atlantistains, and Mer-folk Can go through it and survive.”. “Really!?” I asked wide eyed. He smiled, “Don’t worry as long as you are with me or an Atlantis you will be alright.”. 
“Oh. Ok.” I said, swallowing, as we got closer, to it. 
“You may want to close you eyes.” Gage said, just before we went in. 

I was going to ask him why, but I found out why closing your eyes is necessary. The water was rough and swirling around and around. I was getting dizzy, so I closed my eyes before I blacked out.
