Chapter 4: Under the Boot

  1. Draw or write about your character fighting the boss!

It was chore day out on the farm. Doc had been following Vernon around as he went from the barn to the stables to the house to the garage. He never did a single thing in order. On a trip back from the farm to the house Vernon was alarmed by Doc's incessant barking at some small mound on the ground just a few feet away from his back porch. It looked green and slimy, something straight out of a film about ghosts.

"Quit barkin' at it, it ain't movin' Doc." Vernon calls out to his stressed-out pup. Getting closer he kneels down to get a look at it. It looked as if someone hacked up a lung, that's all. He was gonna go about his day until he saw little eyes roll to the front of what was probably its face. Recoiling back the cowboy looks at this alien-looking slime ball. Intrigue and disgust line his features before he finally stomps down on it. Lifting the sole of his boot the slime follows it, stretching from the ground as it squelches in discomfort. Vernon stomps down again harder to get the same result once again.

Vernon must've looked like an idiot from afar because the cowboy was line dancing all over this slime much to his own distasteful squelches. The stomping continues until the slime is reduced to nothing but a dirty ball spread out over the ground. With one extra stomp for good measure, he makes sure the slime is finished off.

That is until his foot seemingly goes through the ground... and Vernon is sucked through the corpse of the slime.
