Karana Doodles

Posted Jul 13, 2005, 3:23:00 AM UTC
Uh-oh...Heidi's revealing her alias? *shrieks of terror in the distance* Hehehe, well'p, here she is! This character is all mine! :) I created her as a companion to Trunks and star and co-star in all of my fics. These are just some doodles I whipped up today; I hope you enjoy them!
Oh, and the doodle on the left had a tail...Unfortunately it was cut off by a pair of giant scissors... :cries:

That poor girl. Yes, we should always keep our tails out of the way of those dang scissors. Wink Have you done any complete drawings of her? I would love to see them. And I absolutely LOVE the border. Simple, yet, extraordinary.

Thank you Kristina! I achieved the border by using a tool in PSP called buttonize; basically all you have to tell it is what thickness you want it! Well, wait a minute, I do have one of her with Trunks...Maybe I'll go ahead and post that one! Ha! Thanks for reminding me! Wacko

Really nice karana..I really like the slanted stance you have her in. I'm with Stealth, I can't wait to see the finished version...great job! Smile

Thanks! And I do have more sketches of her, one or two of them that could be finished. I'm just so scared to color my work anymore! I may have to enlist some help...Hmmm... Thanks again!

Pssst. Here's what you do. You draw everything how you want it..then scan it and print it out exactly how it looks in the original. Then you can color the print out without the fear of utterly screwing the whole thing up! If you mess up, all you have to do is print out another copy to color! This is the only way I color any of my drawings because I am as afraid of screwing it all up as you are. Also another benifit to this method is that is allows you to experiment more with the colors more than you would had you been coloring the original. It removes all the pressure of "this is it, the only one I have, do NOT mess this up!" Also, if you ever need any help, I'm always here for you Smile

Aww...thanks so much! And I practice that method too, but I've been in this rut where I haven't fully been able to convey the kind of emotion I want, either through the drawing itself or the colors I use. Grrr...I've had this one type of drawing in my head for the past MONTH and haven't, for the life of me, been able to draw it! GRRRRR!!!! Oh well...I've been doodling alot, trying to get some of that creative juice blockage out of my sinuses. Laughing Thanks again!

Thank you! She's very special to me...For she IS me in that other world I travel to so often.........Oh, what? Smile But, I don't often draw her, oddly enough, I tend to write more about her. Wink
