THank you! (and I want to molest your Icon! LOL)

Thanks for the warm welcome! I was not expecting so much, honestly.

      Wow.

Was trying for a softer daylight. Mid Morning... I try to save the harsher contrast for harsher lighting. But again it's a style thing you're right. We all go for what trips our triggers. xoxo

I love everything about this picture, from the background to the little tiny details in the figures.

There's only one thing I would add for critiquing, and it's no biggie, because it depends on your style. Anyhow... Were this my drawing, I would have made the deepest shadows a little darker. As it stands now, I feel that there isn't quite enough contrast. Now that that's said... I still absolutely love this! Favorite

Thanks. It's a series of Short stories (done in a fantasy post apocalypic/futuristic setting. After the polar ice caps have melted and we've settled again after the chaos...) with me making social commentary about and at current events that irk me really. I'm a bleeding heart liberal basically. I'm more worried about education funding than who marries who damn it!
The Following Tides Series in a nutshell:

      Gay Marriage/ParentHood in Book One

      Transgenderism in Book Two

Religious Dogma and Persecution in Book Three

Jealousy and Government Corruption in Book Four (Which is really part of Book Three, part four is Very short. Just an addendum really.)

They can be found here: http://fablespinner.com/library/tides/tides.html

      if you're interested.

      Thanks Again!

Wow! This is beautiful, I like that background but I like the figures even more so. The details in this are spectacular.

Oh my, I pop on bogus red, to find we have a new member, and a heck of a good one at that! I was blown out of the water when I saw your artistic talent, my eyes were immediately drawn to your pics, once the site had loaded lol. I LOVE how real these two characters look, they look as though they are able to pop right out of the dang monitor on me >_< It's also neat, that you made a dual sex character, that's quite an original idea there. And your tutorials you posted as well are HIGHLY valued, I like that when I am able to see just what exactly goes through an artist's head in the planning stages, it makes it so MUCH easier trying to do things like that on your own when you have the basics as well, instead of just the "finished" print to go. I hope you enjoy your stay here, I REALLY can't wait to see more of your artwork, and oh yes, I'm putting this in My fav's.

Wow, I didn't expect so many repsonses. Thank you. *blush* I like to see progress stages from others, so I occasionally make them myself. Thanks for the fav too!

Your very welcome. We here at BR love pouncing upon a new artists work, especially when it's as good as this. And most likely, in the future, I bet you'll be getting alot more positive feedback from us all here with as much talent as I've seen here. Can't wait.

This is so neat. I think it is so cool that you and Dennis has done it as well have put the stages up so we can see how the works are made step by step. This picture is really neat. I really love the guy's shirt (vest?)It is so vibrant. Right down to the little seagulls on it. That is an amazing talent you have there.

Thanks! In the Book, Yuri embroiders ALL of Sascha's vests.... that was a pain in the (_*_) to draw/paint but since that particualr vest is mentioned in the book, it needed to be part of the cover really.

Thanks! I love seeing how people work, it's an invaluable tool I think when learning from your peers.

I've learned more on-line in the last 5 years just from seeing things like this from my peers than I ever learned on my own.

      ^_^

I couldn't agree with you more. I think it is with practice and guidance from others that we evolve as artists. I look at some of my earlier drawings that I have done in comparison to the ones that I do now and I can't believe how much I have progressed. I think this is an amazing picture and I can not wait to see more of your works. Keep up the good work.

Oh tell me about it, even in a YEAR I see drastic improvements and then side-by-side to stuff I did in 2000 to today?
OMG I can't believe I put that other stuff EVER on the web and thought it "GREAT!"
          O_o *embarrassed
