Nizam's Summoning

Nizam's actually a side character in the story. The apprentice of a subtly malicious illusionist in Hazlan, Nizam served his master as much from fear of death as respect for his adopted father. When the members of the Menetnashte Expedition confronted Nizam's master, Nizam stood against him with the Expedition after being convinced that his life would be spared. Nizam now lives as the apprentice of Basler, a nearby Red Wizard and local lord of the region. He is grateful for the release from his former master, but still feels remorse for the fate of the man that raised him.

Nizam specializes in conjuration magic. Most of his spells call creatures from other places, though he has other capabilities as well. This picture illustrates Nizam summoning his familiar, an ice mephit.
