So yesterday was Drawing Day! I spent most of the day working on this drawing of Link from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. This is my first TP fanart.
There are a few things that could be better. Mainly I could have worked some more layers of depth into the background like I did with my last illustration. But I was ready to be done with this. I also think I could have thought more about the composition earlier on. But truthfully, I think this came out very well compared to my past fanarts. I thought more about the composition than I usually do. But not as much as I would like to.
In case you're wondering, the hooded figure is princess Zelda in Twilight Princess. I didn't use reference for her so she doesn't look exactly as she does in the game. But I had a specific image in my mind for how I wanted her to look and I didn't want to be held down by reference.
This was drawn and painted 98% in Corel Painter on a Tablet PC laptop. The rest was some touchup work in PhotoShop. 8-10 hours of work.
All critique welcome here. I know this is a lame title for the artwork so if you have a suggestion for a better name, I'm open.

I wanted to say i love the looks of this site and hope to use the site for an extended period of time
As far as the art, i'm quite impressed with the style you have here. I'm all about Corel, and though i'm still learning, i love to see what others do with it. I love the lighting and line work, and i'm pleased with the look of the cloak and background mixture. I can't seem to understand how you went and blended it all to look like individual gradient brush strokes...or are they individual (if so, then i'm stunned O_o)
it is individual brush strokes. I didn't use any sort of gradient tool. I think i was using the oil brushes.

Though I kind of think it'd hang more together if Link was a little more dramatically shaded (this might just be a personal preference from my side
As for titles...how about "Into the Depth of Darkness", how cheesy is that?
I don't see anything wrong with it either.
*Cough* Amazing work! [^^]
I /thought/ that was Zelda! The sort of pointed chin was a good hint for me.
Honestly, I can't really find a critique. xD;
