A White Flower: Favorite Item

Edelweiss favorite item is her guitar that she always carries at her back. As a musician, guitar is her favorite instrument, but it does not mean she can’t play other musical instruments as well. Whenever she is on a break, she plays with her guitar, and even when battling monsters, she is still using it. Dimah fighting style is using music to create different negative effects in battle like confusion, blindness, paralysis, and other effects depending on the type of song she is playing. After playing a song to weaken her opponents, she will then pull out a hidden sword that is inserted inside her guitar to finish off her foes. After a fight, she always plays a song of prayer for the fallen.

 

The design of Edelweiss's guitar is sinister. A jet-black color with silver lining strings. Strings that shine when basked with moon light. Hide that is not made of wood or metal but something sturdier. It is a cursed item that makes those who heard its sound addicted to it and receive negative effects based on the song played.  There is also a hidden pocket in it that stores a wicked sword that steals the soul of anyone it stabbed, and after returning the sword in the guitar, the sword will then give the souls it collected to the guitar. The sword is like its tongue that helps it feed itself.

 

The maintenance of the guitar is easy, since it’s alive, it is self-maintaining. Edelweiss sometimes uses it as a shield because of its abnormal sturdiness and regeneration rate. But still, it does not like to be damaged at all, like a living organism that feels pain, it created an agonizing cry if attacked. That’s why, even though its her favorite item, she does not take good care of it at all, but. She treats it like her partner to archive her goals. A partner that can take care of its own self. An equal that does not need a support from each other but is bound by a contract. That is Edelweiss's relationship with her guitar.

 

The guitar was found at a hidden graveyard underground. It plays songs to lure lost souls that visits with in and snatch their freedom to be its eternal audient. The guitar loves being heard by others, but humans’ life is just too short for it to be its companion. That’s why it steals, lure, and trap souls to be its companion. When it meets Edelweiss, it was not interested to go with her since she is also just a human with a limited life span. But Edelweiss is someone who heard the hymn of the dead. Someone who is supposed to be dead but still alive picked its interest and joined her with her adventure with the condition that it will help her achieve her goals in exchange of helping it collect souls. At first, it asked for her soul with the first contract but the cold stare she gave it made the guitar change the content of the agreement.
