Chapter 7: The Conclusion
Chapter 7: The Conclusion
Five years had passed. Vincent and I married, last year, and are expecting our first child. Vincent works for a business company, downtown, after he graduate business school, this year. We moved out of my apartment, and moved into a home big enough for our new family about to be born. I am eight months along, and my stomach is huge!
I looked in the mirror. My stomach was out there! "Is this suppose to be so big?" I asked, rubbing my stomach. Vincent, was getting ready for work. He slick back his long black hair and tied it. Vincent laughed "As normal as pregnancy goes I guess." Vincent said kissing my forehead. He was dressed in a black business suit.
I looked up at him, "Maybe we should go to the doctor." "Do you think there is something wrong with the baby?" Vincent asked worried. "I don't know. But it's better safe then sorry!" "Well, then I'll call the doctor, and ask." Vincent said calling the doctor.
"The doctor, knows everything about the baby. But you didn't want to. We don't know even the gender of the baby." "Well I want to be surprised." I said. "Yes, Doctor, it's about the baby..." Vincent talked on the phone for a while.
I stood there watching him. Vincent starts to wide eyed. Is something wrong? I though. "Yes, Doctor, Thank you." Vincent said then hanged up the phone. "What is it Vincent? Is something wrong with the baby?" Vincent stood there wide eyed, with his hand over his mouth. I knew it! There's something wrong, I thought. I walked close to him. "Vincent, What is it?" I asked.
I was getting scared, and started to shake. "The Doctor, said-" Vincent spoke in a shaky voice. "What?" I asked. "He said that the reason why your stomach is so big is-" Vincent stopped. "What is it! Tell me?!" Vincent grabbed me hugging me. "Vincent?" "We're having twins!" Vincent said softly laughing. "Twins?" I asked.
"Yes, two babies!" Vincent laughed. "Two babies? Twins?" I said not believing. Vincent had tears in his eyes from happiness, smiling. "Twins!" I said smiling. Vincent nodded. "So that's why I get so hungry and eat twice as much!". Vincent laughed, then hugged me. "Yes, the doctor said everything is fine. The babies are healthy. Nothing is wrong!" I laughed. I was so relieved.
One month later, I gave birth to two twin boys. They looked exactly like Vincent. I remembered, that day like it was yesterday. Vincent held one, and I the other. We named them, Jun, and Jacob.
When, I look back on everything that happened in my life, I have to say that, I wouldn't change anything. I am happy with Vincent, and the twins. That's what Father and Mother wanted for me.
6 Years later. "I'm happy, father and mother" I said looking up at the sky, sitting on the step. "Mommy, who are you talking to?" Jacob asked, climbing into my lap. Jun, followed. I laughed, holding them. "Your grandparents in heaven." I said. "Really?' Jun and Jacob said in unison.
I nodded, then looked up to the sky. "Their watching over us.". "They are proud of you, Karin, and Jun and Jacob." Vincent said sitting down next to me, smiling. "Daddy!" Jacob yelled, climbing into Vincent's lap from mine. I laughed. Vincent grabbed him up, and hugged Jacob tightly.
"Daddy?" Jacob asked. "Yes, Jacob?" "Where's your mommy and daddy?" Vincent smiled, "In heaven also."
