Chapter 4: they found her again.
Eliza had to admire their persistence.
Raventown sent another gift when they had, presumably, learned she hadn’t opened the last one. She should’ve known better, especially when she didn’t see Junior Junior for the next couple days. She wouldn’t say she was surprised, but she certainly wasn’t expecting a—
What was she even supposed to call this thing? It had four sets of wings, pitch black feathers, and eyes burning with a fiery passion to deliver gifts. At least it was a bird this time. It festively threw it at her forehead with a loud CAAWWW! There was no denying his devotion. She wasn’t even at the post office either. She was in the middle of the street trying to get rid of the other abomination they had sent her because it had decided to inconveniently follow her home.
“What’s that?” Vector pointed at the brown package in her hand along with a note barely hanging on. “And what’s… that?” He pointed to the bird. “CAWWWW!” was his response. She rubbed her forehead before unfolding the piece of parchment before her. “Merry Christmas. From Raventown” It read. “P.S. We found a chicken for you. Feel free to eat him.” She grimaced looking at the raven. It did not look very edible, but maybe if it was seasoned…
“Somehow the freaks from the peasant village I used to stay at before mother nature engulfed me found my location and sent a trojan horse to ambush me,” she answered. Vector furrowed his brows at her reply. “Well, maybe you shouldn’t open it then?” he prompted, and Eliza was very onboard with that idea.
She tossed it away and continued the path to Soujel.
I love the part where the bird threw the package at Eliza lol
