Chapter 3: Boss Battle - Trash Rat

5. Clean up! You’ve noticed that the Trash Monster seems to be made up of mostly discarded items; broken parts, rotting cloth, and other unwanted items are held together by a sticky membrane and… not much else. It appears to be leaving behind a trail of the stuff. Draw or write your character picking up the debris that the Trash Monster has left behind.

Rathyn couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw all the wonderful items which were attached to the Trash Monster simply fall down. With every step it took, more items found their way to the ground and his eyes began to beam with delight. Now he wouldn’t have to actively fight the fiend and could calmly take a stroll following it while rummaging through all these wonderful relics.

Without hesitation he let himself fall onto his knees, not worrying about his clothes being dirtied by mud, and began to muckrake. One find after another revealed itself unto him. Of course not everything was useful like for example old rags which were already partly decomposed but there were many other things for him to take along. Some stones he hasn’t seen before were among them as well as contraptions made out of metal. They were rusty after being attacked to such a creature for a long amount of time but that wasn’t anything Rathyn couldn’t fix.

β€žIn the bag you go~β€œ, he hummed to himself, brimming with pure joy while stuffing one item after the other into his bag which doesn’t seem to get bigger despite so many things already being in there. When his gaze hit pieces of moss covered in various types of vegetation, he let out an obsessed squeal and picked some of it up, just to rub his face against it. With a deep breath he inhaled the wonderful scent of possible future ingredients and sighed as if having smelled the best perfume ever.

β€žHaaaah...~ I love it hereβ€¦β€œ

Tearing his gaze off the moss, he realized how much distance the monster put between them in the meanwhile and quickly jumped back to his feet, waving at it.

β€žWait for me, oh precious treasure on legs!β€œ
