Chapter 7: Biweekly - Nature's Rest

#106 Draw or write about the magical guild hall room that is occupied by your character. Is it a pocket dimension?

After entering the portal to Naedithas’ place of retreat, you find yourself in an area which closely resembles his ties to nature. Everything is covered in wood and many plants of different sorts. It almost looks like someone took a piece of nature and resized it to fit into a small room.

You spot his bed and that it is just multiple logs put next to each other, covered with some fur to make it softer. There is a piece of fur as a blanket as well to keep himself warm if the need to do so calls. There are pillows made out of linen and filled with very fluffy feathers. He must have searched hard to find some of that quality.

In the middle of the room you find a firepit with everything needed to cook right next to it in a wooden basket. A tripod is standing on top of it with a cauldron currently attached. When your gaze travels to the other side you spot a rack filled with drying meat and fish, it looks like this man likes to make most of what he is given, not wasting a single piece of nature.

That makes you curious to look around a little further and you find a workbench with a small wooden stool and multiple stools. As far as you can tell they are used for carving, there are still leftovers of wood shavings visible and a figure which he seems to be currently working on. Clearly a bear, and it looks like he knows what he is doing, too. It looks very realistic and detailed. There are a few pouches laying around as well, some made with fur, some with skin. Apparently he enjoys working with his hands.

When your gaze travels up to the ceiling, it’s difficult to contain your excitement because it’s very special. The area above his bed is covered in nightsky and the stars which shine brightly and flicker as if they were real. The rest of the room in the meanwhile is douzed in warm light, filtered through leaves as if shining past tree tops. The sight makes you feel all tingly.

Now taking your moment to listen a little closer, it’s almost as if birds are singing in the distance and when you step closer to determine the origin of the sound, you find yourself standing in front of a small pond. There are even fish in there of different sizes and colors. You wonder if he eats them or if he actually goes out to hunt. Hopefully these are supposed to be pet fish because they look very cute with their dumb, round eyes!

You turn around in an attempt to find out more about this place when unexpected steps approach you. There he is, standing right in front of you, a tall and strong built half elf shouldering an axe almost bigger than himself. He’s holding a small bag in his hand which keeps twitching and moving, looks like he just got back from hunting.

β€žCan I help you? Did you get lost?β€œ

Despite his strong presence, you don’t feel fear. He doesn’t seem angry about you barging into his room.

More like… scared.

How weird...
