Wolverine...What else?

Well unfortunately this isn't my design. I used a design from a pic I found ont he internet.  Well, I had no idea how to draw Wolverine so I had to use reference. But I think I did a pretty good job replicating it. I know it has been a long time since I have been on here and brought any new artwork, but here you go. :)
Now then, this is a gift that I drew for my boyfriend for his birthday. I spent alot of time coloring this but he is worth it. I think I spent about 7 hours coloring it.  I love doing comic book style art.  The bold lines are just asthetically pleasing. Oh I feel so distinguished now.

Yes! He is s finally done! Yay! ANd the best part is that COnner absolutely loves it. He called me today after I had sent it to him and all he said was "I love you." ANd of course you know that makes me feel like gooey marshmallow goo. I am such a sap! Laughing I think I spent 9 total hours completing this. But it is okay. COnner is waayyyyyy worth it. Oh and I have some interesting stuff to tell you too. But I will send it in a PM. Love you and thank you hun. Hug

O.O! Wow... thank you so so much sweetheart. That is such an amazing compliment to receive. Well I did have to use reference and everything for this being that I have never drawn an X-Men character before, but I think I did okay at replicating it. The most important thing is that my boyfriend (You can see a pic of us in my images here) likes it. His birthday is tomorrow and Wolverine is his favorite character. And to think that I did a good enough job re-drawing this guy to get a compliment like you gave me is amazing. I am sorry I have not been on in a while. I have not been well. I will tell you the story another time when I am not so sleepy. It is midnight here. lol Love you sweetheart. I will get back to you and let you know what has been going on as soon as I can. Hug

    Don't worri about it.
I've been drawing Anime so long that I need to use reference when I draw Marvel or DC or they'll turn into random Anime characters. Laughing This is realli great. Well done and great colouring job. Yes

Well thank you hun. And I don't think I could have done a very good drawing of him if I hadn't used a reference. And I am glad that you like how I colored it. I am still such a rookie at digital coloring, but this is one of my beter works. Your compliments are so greatly appreciated. Thank you so so much. Hug

Thanks darlin. Smile Well I drew it as a birthday present for my (now) ex-boyfriend. And the coloring took me forever. >< I had to use a reference image that I found on the net to draw it, but I think it turned out really well. I love doing anything comic-book style. I just love the style. It is just so bold and everything. Thank you so much for your wonderful complimets love. :hugs:

Grin you're very much welcome. Yeah comic book art is so fun and awesome to look at and draw. I'm trying to get the hang of drawing it it's tougher than I thought Sweat Drop
        • Aug 26, 2006
It is pretty tough huh? Because you have to make the lines really thick in some areas and really thin in others and there is the certain way you have to ink the drawing in order to give it that comic book appearance. In other words, you will use ALOT of black ink. Laughing I absolutely love the style. And my boyfriend (dilemma22) joined this site because he is the co-owner of a comic-book publishing company and he is scouting this site out for artists to illustrate his comic for him. So if you are interested drop him a line. His name is Chase. Anyway, I have missed you hun. And I will talk to you soon. Lotsa love. Hug

This is your coup de gras of your coloring work, even if you used a reference, this is the shiznit.
    • Aug 29, 2006
Okay, umm, Chase hun, isn't a coup de gras some sort of car? Ponder Well anyway, you like my skillz dontcha baby? ;) Heehee And you said "shiznit." Now look who is being all gangsta. Laughing I want to touch you in places you can't mention. Just thought I should tell you that. And thank you so much for writing reviews on some of my better pictures honey. You made me feel so egotistical. I have no idea if that is a real word, but we will pretend it is. Smile
