Chapter 21: A Wise Witch

Link put the ring onto his necklace and placed the bottle in to his satchel. He then waved goodbye while holding Desra's warp ring. There was a blinding flash then Link was instantly transported to the town of Desra. He left town via the west exit and continued on his journey to collect the Guardian Stones of Time. It wasn't to long until Link entered the next town, Volve. This town was made up of many adobes and there was a sandstorm in the far distance. It was when Link spied the sandstorm when he had another vision. In this vision he saw Dark Link entering the sandstorm holding a bronze key. He carried it into the storm and there was a rumble. After a little while Dark Link exited the sandstorm and came towards where Link was seeing the vision. Dark Link then summoned a golem to guard the sandstorm. He then created a barrier to halt anybody from going in to the maelstrom. Creating the barrier were four unique stones. They had the same writing on them as the rooms in the volcano did. The writing seemed to be glowing s to be some sort of a glyph. The stones were colored four different colors: Red, yellow, blue, and green. There was a gust of wind and the vision ended. Leaving Link with another mystery. He knew that to enter wherever Dark Link entered he needed to decipher the writings on the stones. He came back to reality and looked around the town searching for anyone who could help him understand the markings. Only one old hag knew of the writings, but she had a price for deciphering the markings. Her price was to find the Golden Scarab and bring it back to her. Then she would give Link the knowledge of the writings. He exited her home and searched around for a golden scarab.
