Chapter 26: A Long Way From Home

As he made his way to the castle the drawbridge lowered allowing Link to enter the palace. Unbeknownst to him, though, there was the old hag watching his every move. She was the boss of the palace, but Link wouldn't find that out until later. Continuing with Link, he was walking in the Great Hall of the castle, taking in every marvel that he could see. The Great Hall was VERY huge and enormous, leading to the throne room and the bedrooms from which lead to the kitchen and the library. Every thing that was in the castle was in a much larger scale than what Link is normally used to, but there were ways for him to access all the parts of the dungeon like tussles hanging down helping Link to reach the second floor for him at least. He saw something out of place, the room was symmetrical, but there was a missing mirror on the right wall of the Great Hall. He went over to that place and donned his robe. He saw that the stones where the mirror was supposed to be were actually an illusion made by magic to throw some one off. Link looked around for a way to get up to that spot, but there were no tussles even close to it. The only odd thing was that there was a rafter hanging in the secret alcove. Link continued on to search for a means of getting to the alcove, but he didn't find any in that room. However, he did find a green potion selling deku scrub. He bought the potion with the money he had collected from all of his battles. He refilled his manna and went to find a way to the throne room of the Palace of the Gods. The door to it was in the far end of the Great Hall. The throne room was even larger than the Great Hall. There were great tapestries hanging on the walls and three huge thrones. Link knew who belonged in each throne because of the fabric color on each. Link climbed the red throne and looked around for any secret that would help him to navigate the Palace of the Ancients. He found a hidden chest that contained a couple of spells in it: Lightning Bolt and Heal Major Wounds. He transmuted them into his spell book and looked around for another doorway. He found it to the left of the thrones. It led to the bedrooms. In here Link found a growth potion along with a Growth spell. He transmuted it to his spell book and placed the potion in his satchel. The beds had some gold in them, but Link being honest and all didn't take any of it. From the bedrooms, he entered the kitchen.
